http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/draft...ss&source=twitter&ex_cid=Twitter_espn_5315275 The Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves are close to swapping first-round draft picks, a source with direct knowledge of the situation tells ESPN.com's Andy Katz. The Grizzlies would send their 16th overall pick to Minnesota for the Timberwolves' 25th and 28th picks.
So Grizzlies decided there wasn't anyone at the 16th slot that would make any significant upgrades and decided to take a gamble on two players instead of just one? Makes sense I suppose.
the wolves had the 16th, not the grizz. i wonder what this could mean for their intentions with the 4th pick. the wolves would own #23, #25, and #28.
Edit: this makes no sense... The Twolves would send their 16th overall pick to Memphis for the Grizzlies 25th and 28th picks.
Minnesota fans seem pissed... they think Khan is trading the 16th for the 25th and 28th so he can sell the 25th and 28th pick.
this is probbably why the wolves are interested in such a trade: link if this trade goes down, the wolves would own #23, #25, and #28. they might have to send one to the nets in order to let johnson slide to #4.
DraftExpress The reported trade between Memphis and Minnesota (25+28 for 16) is a "possibility", but is "not done." Its "just discussions at this point"
