Concur. Being serious for a moment, Cousin's mental state and attitude is a serious concern to me. A lazy approach to the game coupled with being only 6-9 (even if he does have the comparative wing span of a gorilla) does not inspire confidence.

Yeah, it would be a disaster if we got #4 and had to take Wall, Turner, or Favors.

It sure wouldn't but the team would lose a lot more for the next 2 or 3 seasons.

I'd give up Brooks in a deal for Rubio and Cousins..especially if we could nab that little Randle kid in the 2nd round.

Only if Rubio is coming this year, if it is next year, then nah....I would stick with what we have....

Why is everyone so high on Cousins. He has potential .. Sure.. but let's not forget that there is a huge risk. Go back and read how excited this board was about Eddie Griffin and look how that turned out. But I guess in Morey I trust till I see otherwise :)

Yao coming back makes us a contender. Adding Brand and the #2 would be insurance. I kind of think the #2 will be traded to Minny for the #4 and we would hopefully get Cousins.

Yet according to "reports"/rumors he's only after possibly one of the guys you just listed and that's if we get #2. I'm not at all against drafting any of those 3 but Cousins at #4 would be the most likely if we got the pick from Minny. Not Turner, Wall, or even Favors.

Sorry I meant to say "inclination" in my original post.

T-Wolves probably don't want AB anyway. They prefer bigger guards in the triangle offense. Didn't they try to deal Flynn in order to make room for Rubio? I doubt they trade Rubio. I would give up Hill, Budinger and the 14th pick for Cousins though.

AB is involved IF Morey does not want to pay $9-10M to AB the following season. This is his out, and in the process Morey nabs a center with size and great potential.

However, as someone posted, all of this talk about moving up, if coming from the Morey camp, could just be a smokescreen to his real intentions. Or, it could be Morey is trying to bait some other GM to offer him a deal.

That is a decent point, but AB will be restricted, he could do to him exactly what he did to Lowry and Scola...and make him restricted.

However, the market could set him a big $$$$.

Are you really afraid? Right now I think you don't trust the coaches and our environment. The Rockets have a sound and STABLE organization that other teams don't necessarily have. See Warriors.....

Bingo!! Any player with so-called red flags, by coming here, will be getting the best in veteran treatment that the league can offer.

The only "expensive" acquisition from Minny would either be Jefferson or Gomez, everyone else has ok contract amounts/length. Jefferson's contract is a long one and expensive, while Gomez is much lower, but you can argue he's being overpaid for 3 more years and the only option is his, not the team's.

Minny seems to believe Rubio will play for them, so i dont think Brooks is on their radar, especially at 25, he's older than their core group, which is small at this point, more than likely just Love, rubio, and possibly Sessions. Flynn, i'm not sure, since they are shopping him, but maybe.

On the rockets side i think they're asking for Hill AND Budinger, plus the 14th, as the centerpieces of the trade. They fit perfectly within their core's age group and each can realistically be a starter within 2-3 years

the least you have to worry about is his body. He has one of the most NBA ready bodies in the entire draft. It's his focus.
There are virtually no high talent low risk players out there. I mean lottery picks. Blake Griffin missed a whole year. You just take the gamble or stay away. You never know, even with Wall and Turner.

Get the #4 pick, even if it costs you AB and the #14 pick.
