i would give up a mid level to late draft pick to get him b/c that's what he's worth. if he was a baller, he'd play anywhere.
I don't know about that. Brooks might be among the best scoring pg's in the league. But his defense and passing is suspect and those are crucial to play with Yao, and defense wins in playoffs. Lowry is among the best in defense, penetration, and solid passing, but he is a lackluster shooter and can not demand respect on it and help avoid double teams for our post players due to this. If you combined them, they would have an elite flawless pg, yet its not the case and most importantly ,defense wins in the playoffs. So while they are both effective, I can't say they are the title pgs. As for rubio, he needs to improve his jumpshot, but he has solid leadership skills, great instincts, solid passing and penetrating instincts, his mentality and maturity, and defense is all there, his big issue is a jumpshot which he is beginning to show improvement already on at 19. He is great size for pg as well, so I would take him.
Please explain. It's not about what a player can't do, but what he can do. If you watch the way he passes the ball and listen to the voices of the USA American olympic team of '08. You'd believe that he will be an outstanding player just like the comparison to former MVP Steve Nash. At the age of 19 he still needs to develop a consistent jump shot. Let me hear your explanation of why he's overrated.
He carries the ball... A LOT... watch him put his palm under the ball like he's going to throw a pass. Even if he's on our team, I'll scream "CARRY!" from the stands.
Not as blatantly as this rookie does. Show me a YouTurd of Nash doing this, and I'll get on HIS _ss about that, too. So what, are you saying it's OK to carry?
Of that entire mix and I've watched way more tape on rubio than the you tube mixes, he doesn't create seperation. When you get by a guy, you have to have burst to increase the distance between you and the guy you just got past. He's not on the same level as livingston pre injury.
I wouldn't go so far as to say the ACB is the MLS to our EPL. I'd say it's more like the Bundesliga to the EPL. I think that NCAA D1 is a more apt comparison to the MLS. Regardless, it's very very physical over there. They really pack in the zones tight and allow lots of handchecking. You should watch sometime.
