Maybe the stadium decided it couldn't take it any more and began imploding so that no one else would have to see the Astros this season.
The roof did not collapse. The portion that looks collapsed is really just the canopy that sits above the scoreboard in right field and that is how it looks. It slopes from the bottom of the roof down to the the tops of the stands/scoreboard. Their are 2 matching canopies on either end of the roof, the other being over the 3rd base side.
The best photo of the canopy I could find. The canopy is the the fixed sloped section under the first retractable roof panel. This is what you are seeing in that pic and its odd shape makes it look collapsed in that pic, even though it is not.
AND here is why I dont listen to that station... Seriously, if 97.5 believes this, they're the biggest ****in morons EVER. The roof did NOT collapse. That's just the rear canopy over the scoreboard in right field. I cant believe how big of a deal this has become ...the power of Clutchfans?!?
I wouldn't call it a big deal. It's barely a 2 page thread, most of which are jokes, and it's no surprise that the local stations are active here.
It collapsed, bro. Its a conspiracy. They just want you to believe it didn't collapse. I saw Sam Cassell standing on the corner a few minutes ago.
Is the game for tonight still on? I have tickets but I'm wondering if they can even play the game with the roof collapsed like that. Did they get if fixed?
They didn't believe it, they just made mention that they saw a picture on the internet and wanted to clarify that mm was not collapsed
First, I didn't say they said it collapsed, only that they mentioned the picture. Second, I don't live in Houston and they are the only station that broadcasts sports far enough for me to hear. Third, You may want to back away from the computer. The thread is barely 2 pages and you seem to be the only one taking this seriously. May need to get that sarcasm detector checked out...
