Bucks'd never do it, as Ray Allen is the cornerstone of their franchise and worth more than SAR and a Hawks' first, which is primed to be in the middle of the first round.
As rimmy has so often said, Jason Terry is a PG. Period. However, the Bucks have no incentive to do such a move, so this wouldn't gather much discussion.
If I'm the Bucks - I'd do it in a heartbeat. Small for big. Two guards aren't worth jack. You can get one every year. Micheal Redd can step in right now. SAR is a quality player at two positions. That would be a huge improvement for the Bucks, IMO. On the other hand, why would Atlanta do that? Makes absolutely no sense for them.
Thanks, Cat...feels nice to not have to post it myself. I don't think that trade is very good for either team.
While Shareef is a nice player,he doesn't win you basketball games. He hasn't won basketball games in his whole career just like we didn't win them this season.IF we hadn't moved Terry to PG we wouldn't have even won 25 games last year.Shareef didn't make much impact on our team.
Can they trade Jason Terry for Sam Cassell after that? I just think a team with three big guns like that...Robinson, Allen, and Cassell should be able to win the leastern conference this year.
I disagree with Rimbaud. Every time I see ATL play, I just don't see Terry being a distributor. Same goes for his days in Arizona.
All of the Hawks coaching staff and trainers, local media, and Terry himself disagree with you. I go with them. Besides, even if you don't like him as a PG - the Hawks do and are going to play him there - that is the main point and why the Hawks are not looking for a starting PG. Terry put up about 6.5 apg the second half of the season...pretty good on an injury depleted team and after having played the first half as a 2. He was not ready when he came out, now he is.
