I echo the sentiments about getting out. Not because I think I know you or your wife that well, but because I just know exactly how you feel, and this is the advice I would give you at this point in my life. If you were ten years older (or if I were ten years older, for that matter), my advice may be different. But I just plain and simply can't see how it can possibly work, from what you've told us. If it's not this woman, it'll be another one. Basically, you will FIND things you hate about your wife, and you will just get more and more bitter. Take a step back for awhile, that's my opinion...I think you need to extract yourself from the situation. And maybe, like I said before, you never really had enough time on your own. Good luck...you know deep down what your heart really wants.

no kids? you're free as a bird...

most people who get married that young are two kids deep by now...

bounce if you can't work it out - you've got PLENTY of time left to find a good woman.

ps - if you don't want kids, why get married?

Man, no offense, but this post is depressing as hell. Do you realize how badly you are treating your partner if you are only with them because you can't get someone else? The idea of staying with someone until you are 100% sure you can get someone else is just so dehumanizing to someone you purport to love.

I am very happily married with the 8th anniversary coming up so this may be coloring my approach, but I have always told my wife that if I ever wanted to be with someone else the least I owed her is honesty. I can't imagine that day ever coming but if there was a time that I wanted to be with someone else I would at least tell her before I pursued other avenues, and I believe she would do the same.

When you are calculating the odds of succeeding with another relationship then the current relationship you are in should be over.

damn and I though I had relationship problems

I would say be very careful w/ the next move you make.

I wouldn't put 2 much stock in this "interstate" crush if I were you. Especially if your not sure if the feelings are mutual.
