The 'questionable knees' part is debatable, as is the soft part, and the great stats on a bad team part. I think you got the jump shooting PF part right though. In the end we don't have to build around him, just tell him that we will.
We don't have to build around him at all -- it's already built! We just need to slide him into it. Signing Chris Bosh wouldn't require us to trade/draft more pieces.. Brooks, Martin, Ariza, Scola.. we're set to go to war with him, no building needed.
Did you have the same feeling when we were trading for T-Mac? How about Steve Nash going to Suns? You can be a Bosh non-believer but no reason to hate on him trying to find a better team. It's not like Lebron where he might leave a team that had the best record in NBA.
If this is true then you might as well cross any union with Wade and Lebron out. Good news for Rocket fans.
You cant build a team around this guy. He is mentally soft. He is physically soft. He is a stat padder on a bad team and is a HORRIBLE leader. Get out of here.
Well then why did the list of teams that leaked out basically had him going to play second fiddle to another player? And if he wants to be the Center Piece why in the world did he have the Lakers listed?
How are you able to ride his nuts and no absolutely nothing about his game? Bosh's offensive game is primarily focused on the midrange game.
Let me ask you this: You already said that he's going to get max money regardless so do you think it's wise for him to come out and tell the media BEFORE July 1st "Guys, I don't want to be the centerpiece; I just want to fit in"? Saying something like that serves zero purpose even if that's the real way he feels because no one that's going to get Max-Contract Money is going to just want to "fit in". It's all talk. I, mean, c'mon: Despite not giving his team 100% support, Dwyane Wade is going out there and say that he's going to bring in players to Miami. THAT is how you know a player is a star and wants to be the alpha dog--he goes out and wants players to come to him, regardless of how his current team's roster looks like. If Bosh wanted to be the main guy, he can just save himself some headaches and see if Colangelo can trade Hedo/Calderon for something worthwhile and stay in Toronto. As for bashing him because he states he wants to be the alpha dog, I'm not bashing him for being bold--I'm bashing the people that actually believe he can be the alpha dog for a championship team.
Bosh is a great talent and a great guy, but reptilian-looking mofos aren't allowed to be center-pieces.
This post and your sig make for a hilarious contrast. I didn't think it was possible to be that intellectually dishonest. I'm not a Shaq believer, at all......
Well, you're mischaracterizing what it would be. It's not "I just want to fit in".. it's more "I just want to win, and I'm willing to accept not being the best player on the team if that means I can compete for championships." But he didn't say that, he said he wants to be the man -- that isn't pandering for a max contract, he already has one. That said, I updated my original post: the quote from the article is outdated and not recent. The article made it sound like it was recent, but I checked with the author and it isn't. What are you talking about? Wade has given his team 100% from day 1. In fact, throughout the year he's repeatedly said how he wants to stay in Miami. He's the one who said he didn't want to play for Chicago, his hometown, because they weren't loyal to past players. He's consistently reinforced the idea that he's staying in Miami. And Wade's team has the cap room to bring in almost 2 max contracts -- Toronto doesn't have that luxury. So of course Wade is out there trying to recruit players -- his team can sign them! Is LeBron actively recruiting people to Cleveland? No, because his team doesn't have the cap room to go after them. Toronto and Miami are in two different scenarios, cap room wise. And whose to say Bosh isn't waiting for Colangelo to improve the team? I've read that the Raptors are shopping almost everybody in an attempt to improve their team to re-sign Bosh. Toronto was on his "list of 5" -- so he very well could still be the main guy in Toronto next year if Colangelo is able to make a splash. And as far as the alpha dog on a championship team -- agree to disagree. I'm sure there are plenty of people in both camps. We have enough talent on this team, paired with Bosh, to win a championship. I truly believe that. Could Bosh take over the struggling Warriors and lead them to the finals? No. But could he take a 9th seeded Rockets team, getting back their center in Yao and lottery draft pick, into the finals? Yeah, I gotta think he can.
Is it me or does Bosh look more and more like T-mac? An attention ho... Shut up CB4! Who cares! You're not good enough to be the center piece!
