Once again, this thread is "why do you dislike the Lakers?", not any other team. So no crap we're gonna talk about the Lakers. And your comment on trying to validate Fisher's flopping is laughable. Fisher is scum on the court. A perfect example is what he did to Scola last year in the playoffs. Personally even before that i never really liked Fisher because of his flops, but what he did to Scola really did it for me. Fisher fouls on screens, and the times he does get called for the foul, he puts a stupid look on his face like he doesn't understand. He is the definition of the word scum. We're not whiners saying that Fisher is the only one. I am saying that Fisher is one of the dirtiest ones. He just thinks he is the shyt because he played with Kobe to get 5 rings. He would not start on any other NBA team. If you are a diehard fan for your team you are going to defend your team no matter what. Laker fans are bandwagon fans, not diehard ones. Therefore, they are scum also...
a perfect eg of myopic whining homer like you. did you even bother to find out Fisher did it. i was a pay back for Scola's cheap shot on Kobe. you whinering homers make it sound like Fisher did it for no reason; get real did Scola whined. no he didn't, he knew he deserve the payback. one of the problem w the Rox is that they really don't have an enforcer who dishes punishment to the culprit who had previously cheap shot the star on the team (Yao, brooks, etc.)
Kobe Bryant's incessant whining and theatrical shots that blur the line between "Look, I'm playing basketball!" and "I'm trying to look as over-the-top stupid as possible while pandering for a foul". Not to mention the fact that the NBA rulebook is entirely different for him. Derek Fisher's dirty play and big mouth. He can't ball so he has transformed into a cheapshot artist of the highest order, whereas before he was just an annoying little s*** that talked too much. Sasha Vujacic. Do I really need to explain that one? Style of play. Watching Gasol, Odom, and Bynum tip the ball around to one another and get a 3 point play 5 feet from the basket after Kobe bricks a 20', one handed, off-the-wrong-foot, 'omg look at how totally fouled i was', fadeaway is just nauseating. It's ugly basketball. I hate it. The Lakers of today are talented, but completely unlikable in more ways than ever. The Lakers of the 2000 three-peat were unlikable too because of the fact they were gift-wrapped two of their three NBA titles (vs. Portland in '00 and vs. Sacto in '02), but at least the only annoying character they had was Rick Fox.
I don't really dislike the Lakers, I just dislike a couple of douchebags on their team. Got love for Artest though. I'm just tired of seeing the Lakers winning.
I have the whole lakers rockets series recorded on my dvr, so yes i saw the whole thing and i didn't see any dirty play by scola. However, i did see Kobe TWiCE do cheap shots to Artest and Battier. Battier simply just walked away because thats the kind of guy he is. Artest on the other hand wasnt gonna take that crap, so he did something about it and got ejected unfairly (IMO) by joey crawford. Btw, crawford has a history of unfair ejections, just ask tim duncan. Also, if you actually watch the Rockets you will know that Scola is not the type of player to retaliate after he is hit unfairly. He is a classy guy and he knows whats at stake during the playoffs. You can continue ignoring the facts, and ride on kobe and the lakers tip, but don't dis our players unfairly.

All except "I am a Boston fan," "I hate Ron Ron," and the tmac option. BUt mostly just because I hate everything about LA and the people that spawn from there
The simplest answer is that the Lakers play by a different rule set than the rest of the league. Palming, traveling, fouls all these basic tenants of basketball do not always apply to that team. Kobe gets away with murder (or rape) just because he is a cash cow. The team as a whole has some skill, but I think until refs start calling it down the middle completely I will not respect LA nor merit their wins as an achievement. LA always gets the benefit of the call, and it has become apparent that it isn't even fair now. I really cannot wait till the day that KB24 and David Stern are no longer a part of this league. I think then we may see a fair and balanced system.
he complains and he whines after calls, which competive ballers don't. Rox players complaint, even the ever so reserved Yao when he was playing. why single out Kobe as the only one ? he can't ball ? really, last i check, he was the difference maker in game 3 of the Finals, also 2 pivot games in the WC Finals against the Sun. Fisher has been a hard-nose player since his first days in the NBA. he has not transformed; he has always play that way. if the Rox had someone of Fisher's griddyness, opponents would have think twice about roughing up Yao; in turn Yao may not have been as injury-proned. every team needs an enforcer. he is the Fisher w a Slovenia accent, and not as clutch as Fisher. u don't know what vomit basketball is, it is the style of play by the Boston Celtics. Rick Fox was Fisher's mentor and, when he retired, he passed the torch (as the team's designated enforcer) to Fisher. As for Portland and Sacto, they were quintessential CHOKERS of highest magnitude; in particular the Queenies coached by Idleman. With WC Final clinching victory within their reach, they choked. the TV audience can sense it, so did the Lakers who didn't hesitate to step on their throats.
Very very true, but, when the Rockets players do that they get ejected. All that Kobe gets is a pat on the butt and gold sticker for effort, oh and a make-up call 5 seconds later...
Not to near the degree Kobe does. Kobe is unguardable mainly because if you do play defense against him, no matter how clean your game is you'll foul out. Playing against the lakers is like playing against some **** on Xbox live with a mod chip.
