OK, I know you are sick of updates, but this should be the last one. :p

The pricipal called me in to his office and apoligized to me. He said that they used to give detention on the first dress code violation, but they changed to a warning over the summer. He "miscominacated with the a.pricipal, and he didn't know about the warning. So basically, I served an hour detention for nothing.

Now here's the funny thing: my mom told him today about a rule in the book saying a 1st offense is a warning, a 2nd offense is a detention. He later said he "miscomunicated." But my mom saw him discuss it with the a.pricipal yeaterday, right after school.(which is when she talked to him.)So he should have mentioned something about it being a warning to the a.principal. He could have at least gotten me out of the detention, early or entirely.

My mom thinks he didn't even know about the rule until today. It makes since because he knew about it yesterday and didn't do anything.

She just might see the superintendent about his...maybe..

    RC Cola,

I'd just like to say that when you are out in the real world looking for jobs, paying bills, and maybe saying things like "man, I wish I was still in high school", you will actually not be remembering things clearly. High school is a prison, you know that, now at least.

Here's what you do. Grow sideburns. Slowly let them come down your face, one level at a time, so by the time you have rediculous mutton chops and you have to shave them it's too late. You've been in class pictures.

    Make B's. No C's. No A's either.

    B's.

Don't do drugs, continue to be an athlete and go to college.

The key for right now are B's. When you get to college shape up and try. (you'll probably still make B's, that's ok)

Senior year of high school the only book I read was "Living the Dream", and I learned so much. (that's Hakeem's book, FYI)

    Good luck,

    fromobile-

Yeah. They saw that regular detention wasn't cutting it so they made me come in on Saturdays for a couple hours. When that didn't work, I had to go do volunteer work at St. Mary's Interfaith Dining Hall all day. They said I was the best worker they had ever had. It didn't really stop me from getting more detention though.

Don't know if I can do that. I make A's without really trying that hard. Don't really study much. But I couldn't make B's anyways, as my parents would kill me.(I'd probably fail by trying to make B's, and still make A's.) I have no problem making A's, since I hate being wrong. I hate checking my own paper, because I don't want to see if I was wrong. Not to mention I'm trying to get Valor Victorian as well. (I'm pretty much a shoe in, though. Hehe, I'm so cocky.)

I have to read books in my English classes, and I just finished All Quiet on the Western Front. Had to right a paper on it, too. I don't really like reading, though. Just stuff I like, not any kind of classic novel and stuff like that.

Bottom line: 3 more years and I'm off to college, most likely a very good college. Next thing to do is figure out what I want to do......boy, this is hard. Any suggestions?

edit: oh yeah, forgot about the athlete part. I'm an athlete already, and I'm not one of those cocky ones either. (cocky only in grades. :p)

Ya, i do too, its just a place for announcements and getting stuff, at my school it only lasts like 8 minutes, unless we are on a diff schedule which could make it longer or shorter depending what schedule were on.

I don't really have a homeroom, but I don't know what other people call them. They call them "activity period" at my school. Just a class to get work done, and go to meetings and stuff like that. I think we have a class contest, or two, so they could be called homerooms, I guess.

    bout 20 or 30 minutes.

Basketball and track. Played football, and was ok at it, but didn't have much fun. I didn't sign up last year, and don't play since I don't want to get hurt or anything. Don't play baseball or golf, which are two other sports my school offers, since I'm pretty bad at those.

Just call me RC. RC cola is too formal. And I'm also trying to figure out why you did that. See you later.

(I got to shave tonight so I don't get busted again.)

School started on the 21st this year. I've been pretty anxious about receiving homework and projects thus far. College Prep Algebra II - a breeze. CP English II - challenging but fun. French II - what can I say, J'adore le français! CP Biology - Cadaver's autopsy, enough said. CP World History - The 20th century was awesome! Health - ZzzZzz. Keyboarding - Why am I here, I can type (I took this class as an elective).

CP classes are our schools version of advanced classes.

    What!!!!??? WHO ARE YOU??!!

Well, maybe your school has better teacher than mine and makes it more fun. (highly, highly possible.) Most of the classes you are taking, I take as well. I took Biology last year, and I am taking IPC this year. (Integrated Physics/Chemistry.) World History I also took last year. I take World Geography this year. Keyboarding is probably the equivalent to my BCIS. I don't know why I'm taking that, its way too easy. "This is the monitor. It looks like a TV. This is the keyboard. It inputs information into the computer...etc" Can't take French, only Spanish. But I'm in my 3rd year of that. Also I am not taking Health, I think my athletics class takes that spot.

But everything else is about the same.

I never had a lot of facial hair in high school. I went 4 years without ever having to shave. Then on Graduation Day one of the principles saw me and told me I had to shave. I just hid from him for the rest of the ceremony and nobody else said anything to me about it. Plus being black I cant use a razor on my skin cause I'll break out.

Let's see....I got 4 textbooks and 2 paperbooks. I will be getting another textbook, and I think another paperbook next week.

How are your quizzes set up? Technically, I've had 3, but they probably shouldn't count. Basically, when we do our Algebra II homework, we take a quiz, with 4 ?'s, the next day. Our homework is only graded on if we did it and the quiz is added to that grade, but it graded on accuracy.

So far, I've had...4 tests, I think. 2 of them were in the same class, but they're in my BCIS class. Basically, its "The ___ bar gives the title." Hmm....is it title bar?

I sort of had a basketball practice this past Tuesday. We all went to the gym and did some drills, like dribbling, layups, passing, etc.

Also had the first pep rally today. I don't really have much school spirit, so it really wasn't all that good to me. (why should I have school spirit after they gave me detention for nothing. :D )
