Just bought a new comp and monitor, need some help with DVI

    so i bought a gateway with an HD 5750 card and a samsung syncmaster p2250 and i cant seem to get the damn dvi to work. i get a black screen with i try to use the dvi but everything works fine when i put it in vga mode :(

    dumb question perhaps....

    But you changed the source on the monitor etc? Maybe it has a bad port. Test it on another machine if you can.

    I know places like Staples will test it for you for free if you don't have another pc.

    thanks for the quick reply bro. I did switch to digital on the monitor but it just go black and switch back to analog immediately.

    you are correct. i took it back to comp USA and got a new monitor, everything is running in 1080 right now. thank you both for replying!
