Haynesworth on the block? Wouldn't he look nice lined up next to Mario?

You don't want this guy, he is only motivated by stats and money. He hasn't shown up for OTA's saying that he's been working out with his personal trainer but there are people saying they have seen him hanging out in Miami looking bigger than ever.

He can be a force, ask Orakpo and Andre Carter how good he is, but he only cares about everything revolving around him.

    http://12thmanrising.com/2010/06/19/espn-albert-haynesworth-headed-to-seattle-seahawks/

"Plenty of speculation has centered around the Seahawks being a suitor for the disgruntled defensive tackle.

There are no sources confirming a deal is in place, just a headline, calling it how I see it.

The LenDale White release all started with a headline and no sufficient evidence to immediately support it. Something could be updated within the hour just like it was then; insider is generally diligent in updating the news wire.

If this deal does indeed go down, it means they are likely out of the running for Bills running back Marshawn Lynch if there was even a chance they could get him in the first place.

Regardless of your opinion on how Haynesworth has whined about playing nose tackle in a 3-4 after being payed $30 million for a season; he is still a game changing top five defensive tackle who would come to the Seahawks with a ridiculously reasonable $5.3 million salary over the next three seasons.

If he dons the blue and green next year, be content, embrace it, and say hello to the best player on the Seahawks roster."

    No official word yet.

I tend to agree...If promises were made and they didn't come through with them, then he has a point, although, by standing his ground, he is alienating his team...

But if the Redskins were stupid enough to give him the $21MM check as part of his contract, why wouldn't he accept it...I know I would...

Well, there's more to it that the "measly" 5.3 mill, as this is a trade situation rather than a FA signing. What will Washington demand in return? What will other teams offer?

What would you be willing to give up?

When it comes to giving up pieces that (potentially) *aren't* first class pricks, the risk/cost goes much higher very quickly.

Wow....dude is seriously looking like a complete moron now. His comments....he's going full r****d  ....

Really? Did a man getting paid $100 million dollars (already paid over $20 million in bonus) really just compare himself to a slave?

And that first quote by him....honestly, I think he should spend some of that money and get his ass an education.

He must have been taught at Tennessee that the slaves had a collective bargaining agreement and didn't have to pass a fitness test to work. What a moron. But of course, he's getting paid so I guess he's got scoreboard.

Wow! Dude is completely delusional. Lucky for him that he can play football because he wouldn't last very long at a real job.

I'd like to see Haynesworth forcibly enlisted in the Marines.

Haynesworth is a beast just by being morbidly obese alone. But Jesus this guy is as dumb as a ****ing brick.

If we can get him we should. I mean if he is motivated he would become the best defensive player on our entire team including mario and cushing.

Rasheed Wallace also made a very similar mistake with a slave allusion.

That said, I despise Haynesworth as a person, but we desperately need a guy like him on the line. Okoye is a joke. Mario can't do anything when he's the only guy with true ability on the line. Smith is adequate, but that's it.

They can't afford this when they're suiting up 3 guys in the secondary that can't cover for crap.

If crap got the Texans' secondary on it, crap would wipe them off...

I don't even know if getting him is a possibility or not, but if it is....I think it's time to finally take a chance on a great player who may not exactly be a boy scout. I know Mr. McNair has a record of only signing/drafting nice guys so he can preserve the family atmosphere at Reliant, but at some point, you have to take a chance on a guy like that - if he can play.

Look at how Vick is paying off for the Eagles. Moss with the Pats.

    We already did that.

Bernard Pollard was considered a problem child in KC.

He's been a big problem since he got here--for the other team.

Yep. Although Pollard seems to be the last Texan you'd want to get into a steel cage match with, he doesn't seem to have "attitude" problems... he shows up every day, works hard, does well in the community... Fat Albert, however, not so much it seems.

Just to be fair here, there is some doubt whether Pollard really had attitude problems in Kansas City to begin with. Herman Edwards personally called teams on Pollard's behalf to dispute the idea he was a bad apple.

No one is doing that for Haynesworth.
