    did I make this thread?

why isn't this "LeBron can be the point forward" or "Joe Johnson can be the point foward" ?

Think about it. now look at the other threads made by the same poster.

Think about what had just happened. Lakers won the championship. Who's on the Lakers?

    answer:

Kobe's ability as a "closer" needs to be called out

T-Mac can be the point forward on the Lakers in the 2010-2011 season/playoff campaign

    Why I Root For Tracy

    Joey Crawford - Finals MVP?

    ----
The thing that Tmac fans hate the most is Kobe Bryant. This is just another way of them trying to make imaginary scenarios so Tmac can achieve some type of success.

Like it or not, Tracy fans only exist because of Kobe Bryant. No one else in the universe or North Korea would ever compare the two players or react like this.

Only a complete moron would put Tracy and Kobe in the same sentence together now-a-days...

I would even be hesitant to put them in the same sentence even when McGrady was at his best...

In fact you could say they are like polar opposites. McGrady the lazy whiny player that shows little to no work ethic and makes many inappropriate decisions. Always have trouble with the front office of every team he goes to, and he is declining physically and mentally.

Kobe on the other hand had been rising steadily, maintaining a good work ethic and showing his love for the game from his dominance on the court and his passion and hustle.

Of course. That's not the point of what I'm asking.

I'm asking you to drop the hate, because he is gone.
There's no need for a simple, albeit stupid request to be completely batted down and for this to be converted into a McGrady hate thread.

It's common knowledge that McGrady on the Rockets was a failure. It's common knowledge he is hurting like hell, knee and all. It's common knowledge that his work ethic sucks, he can't shoot, he is gay, etc. etc. Whatever.

But... the fact remains... he is gone from the Rockets, gone from the Western Conference, and he is even shaky on even getting a new contract.

I, for one, wouldn't mind McGrady finally getting healthy, signing onto a dominant team as a role player with limited minutes and getting his very first championship.

It's what happened to Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Ron Artest to an extent. Great players decline, get older and this is how they win championships...

I agree with alot of your post, in fact I like it. But after all you said, you really think Tracy deserves to ride on a dominate team and handed a championship with limited minutes?

The only problem is, who does he replace? And is that a good move team wise? IMO he makes the Lakers weaker and a possible 1st round exist. So let Tracy come back to the West, Let Tracy join the Lakers? I'm all in. It only makes the competition weaker. :) Go Rockets!!!

BTW, Mcgrady getting a championship on ANY TEAM means the rockets didn't get one. So where does that put you? Rockets? or TOF?

Also, R.Allen, K.G. and Ron can all still play ball where as Tracy cannot, unless you ask his trainer.

Every other game he's a gametime decision, no thank you, I don't think Lakers want any part of him

What does TMac do better than Sasha? Sasha is a better defender, and a better shooter.

Just saying... if they can net him real cheap. Why not? I mean his value in the free agency is like a nickle to LeBron's Benjamin.

Point is, if he accepts a really really low offer, possibly MLE at the highest... he could find some way to contribute on the Lakers.

You point out one incident while Tracy had like 3 or 4.
Have you noticed Kobe is still on the Lakers while Tracy is moving city through city making enemies with everyone he meets? Have you noticed he gets booed in all of his former cities? (Except Houston because we are all class).

Of course he's still on the lakers. They got Pau Gasol lol. Would anybody leave in that situation? Also Tmac didn't leave Houston of his own accord, in fact he had that surgery in the middle of the season just so he wouldn't be traded.

Point I'm trying to make is. Tracy is a quitter.

He doesn't try to will through the situation at hand... he just packs up, calls it quits, and moves onto the next city.

Hell it could be made into a movie plot.

Exposition: Arrive at new city, pump up crowd with aspirations of championships and success.
Rising Action: Play with confidence and a passionate demeanor. Early regular season success.
Climax: Very good regular season; high seeding... FIRST-ROUND EXIT.
Falling Action: Sleepy-eyed McGrady returns. Might halfheartedly attempt to win a few games just for bragging rights...
Resolution: Pack up the bags... time to move onto the next city.

watching that video made me realized how much quieter and tolerable ESPN's NBA crew has been the past few years

"IM STEPHEN A SMITH AND I LOVE CHEESY POOFS"

I don't want Tmac to go to a team that can win it all without him. Tmac should go to a team like the Nuggets or Mavs, a team that needs him to put them over the top.

exactly... Tmac will come off the bench if he does sign with the Lakers... it sounds good on paper, especially if he's healthy... but that won't guarantee them 3-peating
