SF3-Can you sign me any FA for the difference between White and Jackson's salary diff? Like sign some random FA for like 2.5 mill and then trade him along with White to the Heat. I think I need to do this to make this trade work, now that Marbury is against my cap. You may need to sign 1 more FA for me, to trade straight to the Heat. So it's essentially, White + a 2.7+ mill FA + min FA for MJax. I hope that works out cap-wise. edit: Can you sign Greg Ostertag and Parker Oyedeji for me to trade to Cat, so the 15% rule works? Got all of the trades through except these two: Heat trade: Marc Jackson Pistons trade: Rodney White With their salaries being off by $3.5 million, yes, a $2.5 million + minimum salary would most likely make salaries work.. but no FA can be signed for $2.5 million as the max for an unsigned FA is exactly $1 million, and that is for the 10 or more year vets. Now, if the Pistons cut 1 player, and then signed 3 10+ year vets (like Greg Ostertag, Greg Anthony and Bob Sura) to $1 million contracts, and traded all 3 with White, then it would work.. ---- Minnesota Trade: Lamar Odom Jorge Wingate Greg Calinoff Phoenix Trades: Wally Szczerbiak Edit: Fixed
SF3: Cut Jerome James and Chris Jeffries before the trade. Then, after the deal, cut Calinoff for Antonio Daniels in FA. On the MJax-White deal, you could trade a small salary from Miami to Det for White who makes a mil. Then cut Jackson signing him for Det.
SF3: kidrock can't post now, obviously, but what you can do is cut Mikhal (he's on the IR anyway), have him sign Ostertag and two other older FA's, trade them to me, and then resign Mikhal for him. He's making the minimum with an expiring deal, so it really shouldn't matter.
