Goal difference comes into play. The US will need to beat Algeria by at least 2 goals I think to advance.
Only if Algeria can post a miracle victory over England. Then US will be in with a win against Algeria. Could come down to Goal Differential if England wins against Algeria and gets a tie with Slovenia. Then its a 3 way tie. Looks like we will probably be hoping for anything but a tie in the England/Slovenia match, unless Algeria does the unexpected.
England could draw and then lose or lose both games and we'd advance with Slovenia. I'm rooting for Algeria. If England loses, the most points they could get would be 4. US would have 5 with a win in the next game and would advance.
Josy Altidore was lethal in the 2nd half. Played up top absolutely perfectly. Posted up, set up teammates right and left. If he could play that way with consistency it would make the US much more dangerous.
On to the next game now !! Algeria vs England, both goalkeepers, Chawchi and Green are out for this game  . Look out for this kid Boudebouz #7. He is getting the start for us
Wow, just wow... Don't know what to say about this referee, maybe that he sucks and i'd like to rape his daughter? -Gives a yellow card to a US player because he received the ball in his face and it lightly touched his elbow. -Gives a yellow card and not RED to a SL player that fouled Altidore while it was the last man standing. -Cancels a goal for what? Oh maybe he canceled it because that Slovenian dude was holding on to Bradley like a pornstar holds on to her dildo? Or for the same reason on Altidore? This is going to have some huge consequences. Appart from that, the USA should have killed the game WAY earlier they had like 8 wasted possibilities to score. Bradley playing litteraly "box-to-box" was phenomenal. Dude has a big heart, same can be said for our GK.
Just awful. I'm furious. However, IF WE WOULD JUST PLAY WELL TO START THE GAME. This is so indicative of Bob Bradley's coaching; we take it so easy that we always give up the first goal and our offensive strategy is to punt it downfield and hope somebody comes up with it. WHY do this when Robbie Findley, although fast, is so short that he isn't going to win any balls in the air?? No team ever wins when you rely on playing with your back to the wall and no initial aggression, in ANY sport.
Please explain how Algeria winning would be a bad thing for us. We need to win regardless, so as long as we beat Algeria, there's no way for them to finish ahead of us and bump us out.
the only team this could happen to is slovenia, we had the same game 10 years ago against yugoslavia, we had the lead 3:0, the commentator said that only a natural disaster could prevent us from winning the game and then bam, it's 3:3. we have the poorest mentality out of any team ever
I'm pretty impressed and proud of our team, takin' a shot to the chops like that and coming back. A little bittersweet given what could have been, but they showed some heart out there.
