i wonder how this whole cartel thing fits in.. clearly the chicken guy, walt, and jesse can't all coexist... i guess next season the cartel is going to rub out the chicken guy.. and the whole thing pretty much starts over with a new boss.
wow. that was a great finale. Walt's warning was awesome and the final scene was intense. Not sure what happened for sure, obviously, but either way...i felt bad for the assistant because he is so innocent in all of this and is just being manipulated.
Walt also strangles that drug dealer in the first season, pretty messed up...and I believe in the 2nd season Jesse somehow kills some crackheads. I think it can be said that they have both already crossed the "killer" line.
I don't think he actually killed the crackheads, the woman killed her husband and I think she was just unconscious
They weren't cold blooded killers yet. Taking a gun and shooting someone in the face is gangster, and they've both crossed that line if Jesse did in fact kill the other chemist. I guess this was bound to happen given the line of work they are in, but the characters did lose some of their innocence by crossing that line.
I guess what I meant to say is they no longer feel like regular guys. It feels more like Sopranos, not that there is anything wrong with that.
http://www.vancouversun.com/entertainment/Breaking+fans+could+break+ground/3165862/story.html Apparently Vince Gilligan originally intended for the gun shot to be the end of Gale, but now it may be open for interpretation...until season 4 at least.
i've read a couple of interviews about the Vince and he has said that there not much future thinking as they write for the show. THere is no "grand plan"...everything is open for possibilities when they sit down to write for the show. He also said that they had to kill Tuco off earlier than he wanted because the actor had to leave for whatever other tv show he is on. as for Gale...i can see him surviving. He seems like the kind of guy that once he learns that Walt is not as close to death (from his cancer at least) as Gus made it sound, Gale would not feel right about taking walt's place.
After much hype from friends, I just watched the first two episodes from Season 1. Does it get better? Okay, the idea is okay, but all the drug dealer stuff is so, so boring and we've seen it a million times. Especially Pinkerman or whatever -- nothing interesting about that kid. "What do we do with the body?" "You didn't cook this." "Want to come work for me?" Blah blah blah. The only interesting character in the first two shows was the wife, but it looks like they're going to keep her in the dark. Tell me it gets better and that I'm just stupid.
Thank you! Seriously, is the wife perpetually in the dark, and does Pinkerman survive more than 3 episodes?
what did you expect after 2 episodes? Everything doesnt just unfold right off the bat. Just keep watching.
I didn't finish season three, I didn't finish season three of madmen either. I generally get bored now after two seasons of any of these programs. that being said, i thought the first few episodes of this were gripping when you realize his situation. but just keep watching
If you're not all over this show's nuts by the end of episode 6 of season 1 then pack it in. Episodes 3 and 6 are the best in season 1 and sets the bar for the show quality-wise (which it ends up surpassing on a number of occasions).
