After watching the replay, I have to conclude that the contact was well after he released the ball. Unless it was intentional, it's not a foul.

The same thing can be said about Wallace's foul on Odom. It was well after release yet a foul was still called. I don't mind refs calling these fouls but they have to stay consistent.

******* Rajon Rondo is a loser. He's sitting on a $60 million contract whining about missed calls when forget about three's, he can't hit a single mid range jumper? I would be working on my shot instead of pleading with the refs to bail me out because my game doesn't extend outside driving to the basket. Fake ass ballers piss me off.

He has been working on his shot (see Price, Mark). Doesn't mean he can't complain about contact that results in stitches. They aren't mutually exclusive scenarios.

He's gotten away with plenty of crap of his own. Contact happens in the NBA, it's part of the game and it was after the shot + unintentional. He's focusing his energy on crying about the officials because he has a limited game that relies on them. Definitely not in the league of Chris Paul or Deron Williams like people were making him out to be.

Contact does happen. the problem is, had ron been wearing the glorious red uniform, we would all be upset at the double technical handed to Ron.

i don't see why more people aren't saying how it's ridiculous to complain so much when ron didn't actively do anything. he stood there and slightly turned to watch the flight of the ball. Rondo flew 5 feet into Ron's space after a shot was released

Clearly Artest was trying to protect himself from getting hit. If he didn't xtend that elbow he could have been hurt in a no foul situation.

Protect yourself at all times man.

Do you really think he is "focusing his energy on crying about the officials?" He made a few comments in a press conference after obviously being angered by having to receive stitches. He was angry and wants more calls to go his way; welcome to the modern NBA where players and coaches try to get calls from referees.

I would be happy if Ron can give Fish and Gasol some stitches in practice......

Did he said this is a missed called? How was it a foul anyway? Artest arm was in the air and Rondo jumped right into Artest's arm.

Anyway, its the Final so do expect some bumps and bruises along with stitches here and there.

Kidding me with this? First of all, it didn't take 7 games in the '08 series; it only took 6. Celtics won GM 6 in a convincing manner too.

Lakers are lucky Perkins is gone. Why would the Celtics be lucky? With Perkins, LA and Boston are neck-and-neck in terms of efficiency. Take Perkins out for GM 6, and boom, every player on that LA bench suddenly become less afraid of driving inside, since Garnett would have to watch both Bynum and Gasol.

On that note, the lakers are lucky Yao was injured in game 1 last year. otherwise the rox wouldve won it in 5 games.

i love how bynum is always used as an excuse for lakers failures.
as if he really is an x-factor. the lakers got beat in 08 bynum or no bynum. just like the celtics will probably lose tonight with or without perkins.
prime big 3>>> prime lakers. old brick shooting big 3 <<< healthy lakers

kobe this is your chance to be MJ. don't pass the ball. just shoot to your heart's content. 2 on 5 baby. just you and joey crawford vs. celtics. go tunnel vision. please.
