http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704094304575029424136299794.html Old Article but I think it makes alot of sense. I have respect for "true" clipper fans because they'd rather root for a team that's mediocre rather than root for a super powerhouse team that shares the same stadium. On top of that, most of them hate the lakers with a passion just like many other team fans.
Hell yah. Fans of other teams have no idea what we go through. Heck, I have to post on a Rockets board because there aren't enough Clipper fans on the Internet to hold a conversation during the Clipper offseason (which = the playoffs).
A sailboat. Some people in LA just hate the Lakers' snobbishness. Too bad the Clippers have a jerk owner of their own.
Coincidentally, the only other time we've missed the playoffs in the last six years was the only time you guys made the playoffs in the last twelve, and you still made it past the first round.
It makes sense. Top team: 10% loyal fans and 90% bandwagoners = low average loyalty Average team: 50% loyal fans and 50% bandwagoners = ok loyalty Bad team: 100% loyal fans because there's no bandwagon for fans to jump on = incredible loyalty
I remember an article I read from like '04 or '05 when the Lakers sucked and the cLips made the playoffs, and frankie muniz was telling everyone to jump on the bandwagon because they were gonna be replace the lakers and be La's team and champs and all that ****.
where does that "i'm sure all all 7 of them are pretty loyal" come from? i posted the same article as the OP in this thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=186585 R0ckets03 responded saying "I'm sure all 7 of them are very loyal." someone please enlighten me
