The game play looks like it might not be that fun imo. Could be like a Dynasty Warrior type of action style judging from the short game play video.
Boy this thing is underwhelming so far. Joel McHale didn't look like he enjoyed being there. Also, what's up with all this lame tech? Laser tag? What's next, the power glove? Man I was hoping for something good out of the Ubisoft spotlight, but nope. No Beyond Good & Evil 2 either. The other thing is they loaded up on the commercials as soon as the conference was done. Last thought, I think I'm in love with Jade Raymond.
Reports coming in that the new Zelda Wii is cel-shaded. http://hyrule.net/forum/index.php?/topic/15351-zelda-wii-to-be-cel-shaded/
From everything Ive heard, it seems like you're right, which is definitely a good thing. I think the multiplayer will be incredible.
The tech behind the game seems amazing! The Wii has been out for years and they still haven't created a game with proper sword physics that this small little trailer seemed to have. Then again, we have Zelda tomorrow... Regardless, this is a Kojima studios game. No way in hell it disappoints. Should be awesome!
I seriously cannot wait until Black Ops comes out. The single player campaign looks pretty thrilling so far, and the VC tunnels do not look like fun. Glad that the multiplayer for that is gonna be Commando-free, and let's hope its Last Stand free as well. 2 of the most annoying perks... EVAR As for Metal Gear Solid Rising, I hope the control scheme and the movement of the character is not like MGS4...
Why do you say that? So far, it seems like a hack-n-slash game with some interesting gameplay mechanics to me. And since it is a Kojima Productions game, I would err on the side of it having some varied gameplay and a high level of attention to detail.
Nintendo conference should start soon. Can anyone post updates? I'm at work and I'm unable to streak throughy iPhone.
Nintendo Wii = FAIL. The Zelda conf.....= FAIL. The controller looks sooo un responsive, takes the guy 5 min to kill an ordinary enemy....blaming wireless interference lol. Zelda looks just like the N64 version...texture...shadow wise. Graphics are Awful....and the controls look horrible.
It's mostly been new games with classic Nintendo characters. Zelda, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Metroid, Kid Icarus. Plus Mario in a sports collection game and Mickey Mouse.
Nintendo's conference was excellent. Much better than MS's this year. They had plenty of games to show. Zelda Wii wasn't controlling so smoothly but there certainly was some interference as it lagged onto the next presentation of Epic Mickey as well. Regardless, Zelda is a Nintendo flagship title. The controls will be smooth as butter when the game is released. The art style was sort of cell-shaded but not the chibi childish style of Wind Waker, but more like OoT concept art. Looks great actually. Releases next year. Donkey Kong, Epic Mickey, Metroid: Other M, and the 3DS all looked amazing.
Actually Nintendo had a good conference. Almost all about the games, good surprises, 3D DS hardware; overall completely different from the 'hey here's the new motion control minigame collection!' of the past few years. Which, oddly enough, might be more what the other two conferences might be like. MS certainly went that direction. And, honestly, the Wii's graphics should hardly be a surprise at this point, eh? Looking forward to Sonys.
