I think both you and SJC are right. First the goal changed a lot since Denmark couldn't just defend all the time (even though they still tried to). And the substitution of Elia, made us more dangerous, I think Van der Vaart will start next game, but many people here will want Elia to start. He is a dangerous player who has a lot of speed and skills. Nobody expected much of Greece, they are a old team that has never been really good (they were lucky in 2004). South Korea is not a bad team, so it wasn't that much of an upset. I expected much more from Cameroon, they have some really nice players. And I didn't expect anything from Japan. Honda is a nice player, but Cameroon has better players. I do not understand why Kameni and Song didn't start the game. The problem with Cameroon, and with many African countries is that they lack organisation, they have talented athletes, but no organisation.
Germany played in Durban, which is right off the Eastern coast, the stadium is in sight of the beach, so I would assume it is at low elevation. It will be interesting to see if they struggle a little more with the ball in their first game at altitude.
Such a shame Salvador Cabanas couldn't be there. Another reason to hate Mexico...as a society. I love futbol in the rain.
freaking good game so far. but maybe it has something to do with the spanish version link im on. guys are so much more excited about the game then the european dudes.
Some chick on the UNIVISION chat line on the side of the video feed posted this here:  That's right, 'cuz guns, shots, or clubs ONLY happen in Mexico...
