Then they should trade Bynum for D-Ho and swap Gasol for Garnet.

At this point it looks like T-mac will have trouble guarding anybody.

Tracy to the Lakers (assuming he signs for the MLE, I guess?) wouldn't be a bad idea, if you were part of the Lakers' brass.

They are set at every position except PG and SG; Farmar and Brown are two hybrids, but more of the SG than a PG.

If the Lakers can get McGrady and draft a PG and a PF, they'd be a pretty good team next season, possibly (dare I say it?) Finals worthy, even though all players have had another year on their bodies.

    My lineup:

    Fisher / Drafted PG
    Bryant / McGrady
    Artest / Odom
    Gasol / Drafted PF
    Bynum / FA Center

In my scenario, I think McGrady should come in for Bryant; McGrady should be the primary scorer off the bench; he and Odom would present matchup problems.

what's wrong with Fisher? they don't need a point forward, especially with Kobe, they just need Bynum healthy and for the players to give a damn.

If Tmac has a whole entire offseason to get back into game shape and still play at an high level and actually productive, he will be a great ideal backup for the Lakers. After watching the Lakers in the finals, I realized how bad LA needs some fire off their bench. They really don't have anyone who can really be a scoring threat. Odom can grab boards every now and then but he's terrible and never show up half the time.

But if you have both Odom and Tmac coming off the bench, the Lakers are solid.

Tracy needs the ball in his hands at all times to be effective when healthy. He can't do that since they have Kobe and he can't be a spot up shooter cause thats not him. I can see him in LA, just not for the Lakers.

Please Jesus, make this happen. Please make the Lakers sign McGrady. That way they will be guaranteed not to make out of the 1st round of the playoffs. Unless of course he is injured for the playoffs.

I cannot fathom Tracy figuring out a way to fit in the triangle offense.

Its been said that tracy has one of the higher IQ's in the NBA. I think if he did sign with them, he would be able to comprehend it. As opposed to Artest still trying to learn it. Honestly, if they signed Mac, Artest should come off the bench and guard the best player and take kobe off of whoever that is.

I think he might have a 40 point game left in him....but plenty under twenty ones....If he could get with a superstar...(Wade, Lebron, Kobe)...I believe he could contribute a good bit.

If he dosent have to "impose his will".
