That, and the Celtics' defense was just phenomenal throughout the series. Sure, Game 5 Kobe was an outlier, but the rest of the team was shut down. Artest is just bad; at least Ariza would have played better D on Pierce and / or Allen.
yeah big men lately just seem very fragile outside of Dwight Howard... Oden, Bynum, Yao and even lesser players like Pryzbilla and Chandler all have suffered numerous knee and foot injuries
He can "promise" all he wants; he better pray the Lakers win the ring, because he is jeopardizing his entire future in the last two games.* * = if they even get to 7.
I'm 100% sure Ron Artest will pull a miracle out of his ass after making a fool out of himself for the majority of a game to win this series for the Lakers.
I still say that the key of the series lies with Odom. With Bynum injured he's the only Laker that can be a double digit scorer on offense besides Kobe and Gasol. And Ray Allen will have another good game before this is over. It's due.
yes, I think it's safe to say it's swayed. http://www.nba.com/POLLSERVER/results/51871.html NBA.com fan voters think Lakers will win game six. Series tied at 2-2, the Celtics WILL NOT WIN IN SIX according to EPSN voters http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/polls Only 14% thought the Celtics would win in six.
Goodbug MIA Kobe is so ridiculously skilled but he has a two cent brain. His one man show in the third got everyone out of sync and they went predictably cold down the stretch. Fakers can't win that way.
You mentioned you posted your predictions after game 1, therefore I can't give you credit for that one.
Agree with you on Odom and disagree on Ray Allen. Odom is the key to the Lakers winning the last 2 games. If he plays inspired and is productive, the Celts don't have much of a chance. Ray Allen is pathetic, but some of it may be due to guarding Kobe. I'll be surprised if he flukes out again and scores more than 25 points in one of the last 2 games.
Are you trying to insult yourself? So because of people OUTSIDE of this forum said the Lakers would win in 6, everyone here that believes the Celtics would win in 6 is a bias Rockets fan? Makes a lot of sense, buddy. Once again, why vote Celtics in 6 instead of Celtics in 4 or 5, then? Human thoughts and abilities to comprehend aside, you may actually make sense. I won't get into the details of why, but this forum here has a lot of intelligent people. Maybe if you took the time to read what they write and post, you'd realize that many of them are very knowledgeable basketball fans. The idea that they chose the Celtics in 6 because of their unmatched hate for the Lakers is laughable. ESPN experts is your reason? Show me who they chose in the Cavs/Celtics series. I can, if i wanted and felt it necessary, to link you to the hundreds of times that they've been wrong. I forgot, but I think many of them also chose the 2008 Lakers over the 2008 Celtics. You're not making any sense. You should just drop it. Do you realize that you are trying so hard to degrade the opinions of others so that you can feel special about getting 3 of 5 correct?
Seems like Ray is getting frustrated from the physical play by Fisher. Lakers have defended him coming off of those screens well since he went off in the 1st half of Game 2.
Yet another great game. Something I noticed during the game is that the Verizon and Auto Trader commercials both have the same guy in them.
Kobe almost won this game by himself, no help at all. Hopefully this series goes to 7 and Boston pulls it off. Also, Ron Artest game winner tomorrow. Heard it here first
I'll be you a million dollars Ron Artest doesn't hit a game winner tomorrow. I'll even give you 100 to 1 odds.
