[TOTAL FICTION] Rockets/Wolves working on a trade for Nikola Pekovic??

David Andersen is known as a 3pt-shooting floor-spreading 4/5 who lacks the physical strength to bang with NBA bigs.

Pekovic, on the other hand, appears to have taken two 3 pointers in his life, missing both, and does almost all of his work in the paint.

Yeah, they are similar, except for their basketball skills.

 

So does anybody have a real news source? Or is this another one of those bogus unconfirmed rumors?

I don't think the MLE can get Amare. Brad Miller, sure, but he is old and sucks.

 

He's got some girth on him (unlike Anderson) so that would help a lot. Even if his D skills aren't the best (lets face it, he's from Europe) the space he takes up would still make him effective.

 

Exactly. Plus if he's a good hustle/energy guy that's be great. Sounds like he can finish strong around the basket so he might make a great stand-in to legitimately limit Yao's minutes.

This type of guy would be ideal because he's just happy to get into the NBA and wouldn't be demanding playing time. He'd be happy as a backup. But he could be a legit long term project ...that could hold his own while he's learning the NBA.

I think Brad Miller is still a decent center. He can make the open jumper, rebound and brings toughness.

The only reason he hasn't played well in Chicago is because Vinny didn't even have an offensive plan. It was too basic to involve Brad in anything significant.

Put him back in RA's offense and you've got a 10/10/3 guy.

 

Pekovic makes a lot of sense in Toronto too. Jus say'n.

He is a good offensive rebounder,not good at defensive rebounding. He does know how to box out. Shot blocking-No.
He can bang in the post.

 

The deal thrown around the most by fans has been #14 for Pekovic + #23.

 

I think it's great that fans of other teams are talking about Morey that way. They almost seem to be scared of him haha.
