It's early in the morning and I got to thinking so I wondered if anyone is going through this thought process as well.

I have a contract that ends in February and I'll be upgrading then, although my girlfriends contract expires next month. She personally, doesn't want to get the iPhone 4 (YET) she rather have my 3G I currently have so I'm thinking about using her upgrade to buy the phone while she gets the data plan and what not because she plans to buy the iPhone 4 once my contract expires.

By the end of it, it's a trade off and a win for me, I think? I'll be getting the iPhone 4G 8 (not 6) months early and shes taking the 3G away from my hands.

Now, I got to thinking with the fact they are using MicroSIM cards in the iPad and iPhone 4, is there a way for me to acquire one? I've been reading online you can cut your current SIM card but that just doesn't seem worth it, i mean the worst thing that could possibly happen is me asking for a new one if I did it wrong since all my contacts are already on the computer.

Anyone with AT&T know if it's possible?

Switch to Verizon and buy any of their Droids and you will not have to deal with simcards :)

But if you must stay with Apple...couldnt you have just put it on one of your many blogs and hopefully someone will comment a real answer?!

Ouch...for the remark. No need to be like that, it's just a little simple curiosity question.

Nah, I'm good with the blogs.

My real answer is to just go to ATT and see if they can switch it out...they wont bite and the worse they can do is say no.

True statement, I could do that.

Like I said, it was late and just one of those things I was thinking about and wanted to hear what you guys (or you) had to say before I headed up there.

You can buy a micro SIM from AT&T stores... so it shouldn't be a problem.
