Ten things that will happen if USA beats England on Saturday The The USA vs. England World Cup Group C game on Saturday is getting a lot of attention. Especially in America. You may even think it's getting too much hype. But that's only because you don't know what's riding on this game. This is all top secret, but I can now reveal that several controversial agreements have been reached between the two teams, just to up the ante on this game a little. Here are 10 things that will* happen if USA beats England on Saturday... 1. The Queen has to knight one Clinton Drew Dempsey. Arise Sir Deuce of Nacogdoches. 2. Landon Donovan gets a 10-year contract with the Premier League team of his choosing. The contract will guarantee that Donovan plays every minute of every game (should he choose to do so), is always the highest-paid player both at his club and in the league as whole, and that he gets to wear the captain's armband at all times. Even at sleepytime. 3. England becomes the 51st state of America. Wayne Rooney himself has to sew the extra star into all current USA flags. While living in a caravan with a failbeard. 4. "Don't Tread on This" by Clint Dempsey becomes the new national anthem. Of every nation on earth. 5. Color and favorite will no longer be spelled with an extra u. By anyone. 6. USA to get first dibs on any future decent England left back, who will be naturalized, passported and placed in the American backline faster than you can say "Jonathan Bornstein?" 7. Fabio Capello immediately fired as England coach after the game, and replaced by high-trousered "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell for the rest of the World Cup. Halftime team talks where he belittles the players to be broadcast live on pay per view. 8. English people have to start calling it "sarker." 9. English commentator Martin Tyler forcibly relocated to the USA to announce all Major League Soccer games for the next five years. Dave O'Brien moves to England to announce all future English Premier League games on Sky Sports. Forever. 10. ...the team still has to get results against Slovenia and Algeria, because the World Cup is more than just one game. * They won't really happen. Really? Awww, man... must have sucked for you. As a broke ass MEXICAN, I was able to go to at least ONE game then.
Nope. Not that one. Hey, at least we won our group that Cup and didn't make it as 'best THIRD' and won that one game with our own scoring, not with an own goal and being 'hosts'... Which brings me to the next question (and don't get pissed about this): Has the USA team in the '94 Cup been the worst hosts? I don't think I recall any other host finishing that badly in their group... not even Korea or Japan...
Don't look at me bro, I was a little kid in Spain that summer rooting for the EspaÑoles. I've been a Spanish fan ever since. We got ****ed that year and I've hated the Italians ever since.

Represents more SA than Shakira saying "Waka Waka" and showing highlights of every country except the African continent.. As for the WC, I still think that Mexico and the USA will make an impact. I went to see Mexico-Italy a couple of days ago in Brussels, and the Mexican's are living up to my own hype. I really like Carlos Vela. Oh and for anyone in Belgium at this time, i'll be watching USA-UK at the Fatboys on Saturday with some friends and enjoying a delicious burger, shoot me a message if you care to join us!
I realize that any score is good and any win is good. I welcome ANY goal, except for cheating ones, that my country scores. To discuss Vela, I hope that he is as good as we want him to be and that he shows his potential in the Cup. In the last few games, he's been shooting right at the goalkeeper and he also did it in that score you posted, although it went right under Buffon. If you look at highlights versus the previous opponents against which he played, he kept shooting that way and could not place the ball away from the keeper. I thought he was supposed to know how to do that... he hadn't scored since MARCH, and before that, in October... that shouldn't be the case for someone of his potential and playing for such a good team in England. Nonetheless, I will root for him because he has my team's jersey on. ¡Échele ganas, Carlos!
I second this post. I've been a big fan of the K'naan joint for a minute and everyone that watches the world cup video with the song over it loves it. Seriously, FIFA and the WC organizers decided it'd be a great idea to go with a so-so latin singer from Colombia to sing the "official" WC song at the first WC in Africa instead of a South African musician or any musician from the ENTIRE continent of Africa??? That's a Fail by FIFA and the WC organizers imho.
He's struggling with his scoring, but he's always creating for others as well. He's not only a scoring forward.
[Chorus] When I get older, I will be stronger, They'll call me freedom, just like a Waving Flag, And then it goes back, and then it goes back, And then it goes back
