LOL, I wonder who's abusing himself in these playoff where Kobe and Lakers won series after series and championship after championship.
"Kobe and the Lakers" AS IF you give a flying **** about the Lakers. I must say I am enjoying Kobe's multiple sub 40% shooting performances in the Finals, YET AGAIN validating his place in history well below true superstars like Magic, Bird, and MJ.
Anyway, I must sleep (it is 2am here.. not sure what time it is in Beijing where you are). Good "debating" with you. See you when the Lakers next win a game.
Crazy series one player shows up one night and another he's just straight horrible. Does anyone else put the rockets in the game like i do? Id be like stupid kobe you wouldnt give AB that much space like rondo to shoot. Or stupid gasoft scola would show up and be consistent every night unlike garnett or stupid bynum yao would make you his b****. hopefully next year
Typical. If you don't think shaq gives hard fouls or take up for his teammates and is the enforcer of the team, then you don't watch basketball. Rememeber the scuffle with phoenix? Who was the one coming through pushing people down? Thats right, go find the you tube of that. This is the youtub generation, here is something for you. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZJ4wE6Ibzdo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ZJ4wE6Ibzdo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object> <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/u7cHuPlFclE&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/u7cHuPlFclE&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Bottom line is the lakers are not the tough team you make them out to be. They are tougher today than they were in 08, but it took them 7 games to beat a shorthanded "soft" Rockets team. Did you ever think that Fisher did that to Scola because hes a second year player that Fisher was trying to test, as opposed to your theory, that the 09 Rockets are your example of the Lakers Charmin toilet paper? Your posts remind me of Jerome Solomon articles...
Thats exactly why he did it and he got ejected or lost a game, but thats what players/teams do. I never said the lakers were the toughest team in the league which makes it even worse. Its like the Suns trying to play tough guy against someone. Its not really about being soft actually, its about not being pushed around and taking stuff from any player, any team. The move when kobe put his knee into shane's face, he knew who to do that too. Raja bell with the clothesline on kobe, that was from all the other dirty things kobe was doing through the series.
I never said shaq doesnt stick up for his teammates but your are ignorant to think that Shaq led teams dont get punked. Derek Fisher is dirty, just like all the other Lakers. Pau Gasol is a flopper. Even when Ariza came here he tried to elbow a guy in the head. There is a difference between toughness and dirty play. The Lakers are the definition of dirty.
I hadn't seen any and fox and christie were fighting in the hall way. How many hard fouls have u seen any rocket give. Juwon howard was the last and that was years ago.
No one has to act, but you have to take up for each other. If brooks drives the lane and one of their bigs gives him a hard shoulder, then i expect my big man to do the same. If kobe wants to knee battier in the head, then i expect to see kobe hit the ground.
is there such a thing as an "enforcer" in today's game? i mean look at Artest.....he got tossed out before he even did anything and ron is one crazy dude
Honestly, some ppl need to shut the **** up about the reffing. Agreed that there were questionable calls both ways, but if you think the Lakers are getting the benefit of the whistle is just plain .....uhh..Anti-Laker Homerism? What about the perkins layup, where he missed and the refs called a foul on pau, who was just stanind up straight? What about that Fisher shot where Rondo swiped him from behind? Why did the C's get the ball when Rondo CLEARLY fouled Odom into losing the ball out of bounds? Also, how can you call the Lakers more dirty than the Celts. Do the Lakers tug on their oponents jersey's? Do they use their knees to run you out of the paint? Do they psuh and shove harder than the team they're facing? WHY, for the love of God, are you ppl biased??? If they deserve to win, they deserve to win. Simple as that.
So tell me, then - what was Allen's second-half production in Game 2? You know, when the game was actually on the line and the Lakers took the lead? (If you answer 5 points on a poor shooting percentage, you'd be correct.) I'm not denying that Ray Allen is a good basketball player, because he is. He has value. The problems come when he is put into any kind of true pressure situation. If you want to call it hyperbole, that's your right - but I don't think a hot first half means much at all to the particular point I'm trying to make.
