I love the term listening to offers instead of trying to give the guy away. I'll never forget his lasy game as a Cav as the coach is screaming to play defense and he turns around and waives his teammates off and tells them to stand down. Classic!
Here's a link to an article about it: http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/06/reshuffled_front_office_isnt_s.html No shock as he makes a lot of money, is a bad defender, and isn't a great playmaker. I'm not sure he is that big of an upgrade over what Gibson was giving them anyway.
he is a huge upgrade over boobie. gibson will never come close to averaging 17 ppg and 5 apg. gibson is a nice shooter off the bench but nothing more imo.
i see what you are saying, but to mo's credit he has been a very efficient scorer since coming to cleveland. kind of like how terry's shooting transformed when he went to dallas. i would be extremely happy if brooks could match mo's progression as a shooter. shooting 43% from 3pt land while taking nearly 5.5 3's per game for 2 straight seasons is very impressive.
Williams and Gibson are both primarily jump shooters for the Cavs. Williams is the better ball handler and is a better passer, though neither is actually a good passer.
You know, now that you say this, I think Mo would be an awesome 6th-man/offensive spark plug. Sort of like Jason Terry, or Jamal Crawford in Atlanta.
Someone mentioned in one of these other threads: Cavs have trouble stopping Dwight, so they go get Shaq, now had trouble stopping Rondo, so now they gotta get an upgrade at PG.
The problem is that no one's been able to stop Rondo. He's primarily a defender, rebounder, playmaker. That's not something you take away 1 on 1.
Perhaps, then, it requires juan on juan? DUN DUn dun! Mo williams suck. He is at best a 4th option. The Rockets don't need that.
