That's what I'm saying. If KG and / or Pierce ever get going, Celts are going to be hard to stop. GM 1 wasn't particularly close, but that's partly due to Allen and Rondo not showing up, and Kobe having a monster game. Ironically, Pierce and Garnett did worse then they did in GM 1 and they won tonight's game. I think KG needs to work on jump shots from now on, because those shots will probably come easier to him than banging down low with Gasol.
I told you how it would be officiated for the first two. The goal is to make money, not give the fans a good show.
the refs favored boston in this game, clearly. there were 2 bs fouls on kobe, and some other calls that benefited boston
i understand it's kobe time in the 4th but they really should have gave gasol more touches in the 4th quarter.
Celtics for sure. Winning this game on the Lakers' home floor, no less + going back to THEIR home floor + knowing that Garnett and Pierce don't need to have monster games = momentum is huge right now, for the Celts. Also, the fact that they play in two days, instead of like, 4-5 days should also be good.
You can't be serious. The frount court ball that the Celts got at the 2 minute mark when it was clearly Garnett who tipped the ball out of bounds with the Celts up 3 was a real game changer. If it had been called correctly (as proven by the camera at multiple angles), the Lakers would have gotten the ball and like have shortened the lead to 1. However the Celts got a possession they shouldn't have, and Rondo swished a jumper for a 5 point lead, which was simply too much to overcome at that point. From a fair stand point, the refs really screwed LA in crunch time this game.
The Lakers were 31-41 from the charity stripe, compared to Boston's 20-26. If both teams made ALL their FTs, LA would have won this game by 6. Also, Perkins and Rondo took 11 of those 26, and only made 6. That's probably your two worst FT shooters taking almost half your team's FTs. How much more "even" can you get? LA got the benefit of the refs whistles, imo.
BTW, I hate Kendrick Perkins. I know you're serious about the game, but you don't have to look like you're gonna kill somebody. Be cool man.
Eh, so my math was incorrect; Celts would have won this game by 5 instead of 9. But still, 15 extra FTs = Refs were not trying to screw anyone over, even if they got a few calls wrong.
some guys are born with this but I agree garnett touched the ball. Would be more interesting. Perhaps with Bryant fouling out.
It isn't the fact that I care if anyone likes Kobe... it's the fact that I'm classified as "nut hugger" while if you're a fan of someone else... they're just classified as a simple fan of that player. It's pretty stupid. I get the fact that this is a Rockets board and people hate em... and you can continue to hate em... but why mock the people who do like em? Some people get a real pleasure out of it.
Ray Allen did have a monster game though, 8-11 from 3pt land. That's very unlikely to happen again in this series.
What a game! Boston deserved to win this game they beat the Lakers fair and square. Way too many elementary mistakes by the Lakers, just way too many and the Celtics made them play. There were bad calls both ways but hats off to Rondo and Boston.
I wonder what he looked like as a kid... On another note, why are there no videos of Kendrick Perkins' smiling?
That cesspool is flooded with excuses before they even play the game. I think they are on red alert suicide watch right now. I LOVES THIS GAME!
