I don't think putting your hands straight up warrants a foul. You can't be bailed out just because you're undersized. Chuck Hayes feels his pain.
That said, he's clearly not as aggressive as if he had less. Passing the ball rather then risking the charge and letting Baby have the dunk rather then trying to contest, among others.
i don't know if he was or wasn't, but he should probably occasionally consider bringing it out when he's trapped under 2 7-footers. it rarely seems to result in anything but a blocked shot. and yeah with the way kobe's playing in the playoffs (and game 1 of this series), the finals mvp is under no threat like say duncan in 2007 when parker got it. kobe would have to fall apart to not average something like 25/7/7 and that will get it done.
yeah, kobe is obviously their best player and has been on a tear, but the lakers are the lakers because of that ridiculous front line.
Garnett just stood there, DEAD STILL, and let Sasha steal that rebound and lead to the three. That's not all old age or athleticism. That's just pathetic effort.
i think kg is going for rebounds with one hand because he can't jump and is having trouble just getting to the ball. it's not like he forgot that using 2 hands is good. and damn, bynum was just taller on that play. 2 celtics all over that pass.
Even if Kobe wins it, Pau is playing well enough and Kobe has not been dominant enough where this Finals could possibly be an argument against Kobe being the greatest. It can't be said enough that Jordan was the de facto Man throughout his whole career in Chicago, unlike Kobe in his career.
i've seen the entire playoffs. i'm in shocked that kobe hasn't seen that many double teams, outside of a few games by the suns. he has had single coverage for most of the playoffs, including the first 2 games of the finals.
Well guys, so size doesn't matter, right? Bynum+Pau destroying Davis-Perkins-Wallace-Garnett. SIZE Daryl Morey, SIZE please.
kobe is NOWHERE near michael jordan even if he wins 7-8 rings. people like to bring up the comparison b/c it sells. he will be the 2nd best SG of all time at this rate. the but gap b/t him and MJ is pretty huge. stats, individual accolades, all are in MJ's favor in a HUGE way.
I didn't watch the first half but the refs are terrible this game. It's like the repeat of Lakers-Kings series.
