    Why doesn't he focus on being able to walk and run properly first before he goes off making movies? After that why doesn't Yao work on his fronting deficiencies?

    Kobe Bryant has proved everything he wants to prove in the league. Yao Ming on the other hand, is just one year younger than Kobe but hasn't proven anything yet...

    From the excerpt he's not just participating/making a cameo in the movie, he may be co-starring in it as the coach of the players. I'm pretty sure filming movies take a lot of time, maybe 1-2 months. Maybe if he wasn't injured it would be fine, as it is though he should make his rehab his number 1 priority. On the other hand making a cameo/guest appearance would proabably take just a week of his time. That would be more acceptable IMHO.

    With the Rockets luck Yao will come out of that situation with aids or on the Lakers. Either is plausible considering the aforementioned trio. Just sayin...

    You can turn into actors but I dun know about the outcome.

    I thought coach carter, he got game were good basketball movies. space jam was not that bad either.

    Yao should save all that movie stuff until he retire... look at rampage from the ufc...he did the movie a-team then got whooped by evans...atheletes should stick to what they know best...thats not acting

    different. I think he would just get a cameo or a small guest role.
    B.A. Baracus was a main character in an action movie. Thats different.
