Hey everyone. I just got selected to be a beta tester for X-Box Live (where you can play games online). I'm really excited about NBA 2k3 and its compatibility with other games. If anyone out there owns an X-Box, cable internet connection, and is intending on purchasing NBA 2k3, let me know! I've run out of good competition, and I'm looking to face some of ya'll gamers. I've pretty much mastered NBA 2k2, using the Houston Rockets.
Just curious... what are your career shooting stats on 2k2? It just seems that the percentages are always too high. I have the Dreamcast version (unfortunately I don't own an X-Box, but I do own a Dreamcast and Playstation 2). Mine are: 69% FG, 42% 3PT, & 89% FT. The teams I used were the regular Rockets and a fantasy draft team with a starting lineup of Olajuwon (80s version), Kenyon Martin, Michael Cooper, Clyde Drexler, and my created player Dee Fence (6'3, no handles, no shot, can't pass, but he's a really good defender and rebounder). You might be able to tell that I like my defense.
Hey I plan on getting that game too. If so my handle will be jevjnd, surprise . In 2k2 my FG% is 79%, no fooling, and from 3 I am money too over 45%.
i don't like those games, cause i score about 150ppg.on 12 minute quarters..not realistic at all. But i think i just need to reduce the minutes and i'll be fine.
yeah, i agree. i only have time for about 1 game with 3 minute quarters...but i tend to score at least 50 ppg with those...in 12 minute quarters that would be 200 ppg. Very unrealistic...but entertaining nonetheless.
Try playing a season it's much more interesting that way may be about one game every other day or so and you'll enjoy it more this game. And also try putting the difficulty all the way up, other wise it sucks.
I play franchise mode with 12 minute quarters on the highest difficulty. I have only lost one game in three seasons, when the kings hit 100% from three point range against me and had over ten blocked shots. I still like the game, but it needs another dificulty level. Maybe I should just trade all of my players for scrubs.
Create Matt Fish, start him at point guard. Also trade for Matt Bullard, and see how he does at center.
Nba 2k series is the best b-ball game in the world..............don´t laugh now but it was Nba 2k that got me interested in basketball so I just love those games...........altough though nba2k2 wasn´t more different then nba 2k1 but still the best b-ball game
I play season mode with 4 minute quarters. This way, the stats of the starters actually match up well against other players in the NBA (Allstar mode, ofcourse). My handle is Swisher.
What I want to know is how good did they make the Rockets players in NBA 2K3? Is Griffin a better player? How good did they make Ming and Nachbar? In NBA 2K2 for PS2 they usually had numbers (0-100) for each players to distinguish their level of talent. I think Griffin was around a 73 although seemed to play better than that number. Francis was a 91 I believe. Do they do this ranking system in the new game and what are the Rockets player Rankings? I am really looking forward to the new NBA 2k3 game. Chris
I take it everyone universally thinks the NBA Live series have been left behind? I got NBA Live 2002 (The one with Franchise) and it wasnt what I expected from the PS2.
Sorry I guess that I can't help you seeing as how you've taken it up a notch already. Try getting an all scrubs team as you suggested then maybe that'll help.
Do you have the XBox Live already? I just got the email a few days ago that I have been selected to be one of the beta testers but they will contact me again within the next 30 days to purchase the set and get me going.
I've played all three NBA2k games on Dreamcast. I always go 82-0 with the Rockets. These days, I try to create teams with all 100% created players, and play against them with the Rockets. I still win. The game definitely needs another difficulty level.
