So I got bored last night and decided to come up with this crazy trade that I think will fulfill every team's need.

    All the salaries matchup:

    4-team trade:
    Rockets, GSW, Grizzlies, Raptors

    Rockets get:
Oj Mayo, Anthony Randolph, Demar Derozan, Marc Gasol, and Conley + Raptor's #13 Pick + #25

    GSW gets:
Turkoglu, Kevin Martin, Andres Bargnani, and Thabeet and our # 14 pick

    Grizzlies get:
Monta Elllis, Aaron Brooks, Biedrins + GSW's #6 pick

    Raptor's get:
Maggette, Jordan Hill, Haddadi, Darrell Arthur, Ariza, and Grizzlies #12 pick

    Why this works:

rockets get two players with size and plays both ways in randolph and gasol. i would like mayo becomes our creating scorer who can handle the rock and we hope derozan pans out to be an outstanding sg. we can use conley and picks to maybe move up in draft or use conley and perhaps let lowry walk (as much as i'd hate that)

gsw gets to move curry to pg and kmart becomes an efficient shooter for gsw at sg. bargnani really fits gsw's system and thabeet would be there to help with late game stops if need be. turkoglu also fits that shoot'em/blast'em game

grizzlies get monta ellis who they were rumored to want earlier. they don't have to feel bad about drafting conley and thabeet anymore and have a serviceable starting pg who can create, biedrin's to still play the #5 with randolph, if rudy gay stays, their starting lineup is set. and they can draft a top pick as a prospect

Raptors get rid of turkoglu has voiced his desire to leave. maggette plays that same type of roll that turkoglu does but cost a tad less money each year and has one less year on his contract. they get jordan hill who they were rumored to be high on. get bigger with haddadi and hill and who'll play inside versus bosh who plays the perimeter more, and a 2/3 in ariza who plays d. calderon/jack maintains their roll

so in the end, each team's serviceable lineup would be:

    rockets:
    conley/lowry
    mayo/budinger/taylor
    shane/derozan
    scola/randolph
    yao/gasol

    gsw:
    Curry/Watson
    Kmart/Morrow
    Turkoglu/Azubuike
    Bargnani/Radmanovich
Turiaf/Thabeet/Brandan wright (who i imagine they wanna trade)

    Grizzlies:
    Brooks/Tinsley
    Monta/Brewer
    Gay/ #6 pick here or....
    Randoph/Darrell Arthur
    Biedrins/ #6 pick here

    Raptors: (assuming they keep bosh)
    Calderon/Jack
    Ariza/Bellinelli
    Maggette/Weems
    Bosh/Amir Johnson
    Haddadi/ Jordan Hill

and of course, everyone still has draft picks who they can address the little 5-8 minute stints where they need someone serviceable.

This trade would work but it will never happen. The rockets would be contenders with that lineup.

    LOL...Marc Gasol backing up Yao?

It would take the whole season for these guys to learn the system. We would be a border line playoff team again.

It wouldn't really be backing up. it would give Yao the ability to rest alot. your foot feels funky? go ahead and sit. and if randolph doesn't pan out or scola gets too old....we have young-un's. since our lineup is mostly intact, at least the starters, our starters will be fine. and even then, as yao isn't really built for the princeton system, we're going to have to adjust to next season anyways.

It would fill needs but It would ruin team chemistry on every team involved.

I wouldn't be surprised if the players got lost!

It would be like the first day of high school and players asking each other what homeroom is.

WTF....so we basically change 60% of our lineup and get worse.

    okay....

boston is getting older and most likely won't resign ray allen.

LA's lineup is hoss....but their depth isn't as deep as ours in this version. we really match up well vs. them especially in size. imagine us playing yao vs. bynum, gasol vs. gasol, mayo on fisher, shane running against kobe, and artest chasing around derozan who has a length advantage.

and cleveland...i still standby what i've said before. good reg season team but they are still missing the pieces to make them a true contender. shaq ain't coming back, Z and jamison is getting older, etc.

i think we'd be a crazy ass dark horse team and we're built to improve even more in the next few years.

So Morey's going to make a deal with the Raptors that doesn't include Bosh? Besides the fact that getting 4 teams together is impossible, I just don't see all these players on Morey's asset list.

Realistically all the teams are in rebuild mode that are mentioned. so why not rebuild with the needs fulfilled. except for the rockets but ......

*continuation* ...as stated before above, our rockets main starting lineup remains mostly intact. especially if we keep lowry as our starting pg. so they only person in our starting lineup that will have to learn the system is mayo, who in the princeton system, would play our scorer/slasher which i think he is known for...

trade makes no sense and we get worse. if the teams involved wanted to just make trades to get their fan base excited but go nowhere then this 4 way trade is perfect for that.

actually maybe memphis wins in this trade if they can get a big man in the draft. brooks and monta are better than mayo and conley and they get a #6 to try to replace gasol and get biedrins to replace thabeet.

and btw...in this random trade you still included arthur on the grizzlies when you say they traded him. he sucks so who really cares, but just wanted to let you know.

Except for back up Center, our current roster is better than the one you proposed.
