    Yes, they were.

After clicking on the link, I thought that this was an old thread that got bumped. I was wrong.

It's still possibly interesting enough of a topic.

That article was written after just a small sample of games played with the new rims.

What does the data say now after the conclusion of the season?

I'm sure somebody can dig up those stats pretty easily. FG%, 3PT%, FT%, PPG, etc...

And lol at Nash's comment at the very end of the article.

Of course it makes no difference for him. Most of his shots are nothing but net.

I don't know if you guys heard, but the Rockets might be making a push for Chris Bosh. Just something I heard so don't flame me.

It's crazy though... the double rims made it even easier to score. Last year, at least IMO, those were more defensive rims.

They should make turn the NBA courts to a blacktop along with the double rims.

Removing the nets, or replacing with chains would be a nice touch as well.

You too Flash? You actually get used to it and adjust your shot after a while. Doesn't mean you won't still clang shots that would bounce in normally, but you adjust a bit.

I too. I especially hate the loose rims or stiff rims (no hom) cause it either bounces around too much before rimming out or just clanks right off, the bright orange rims at the outside courts are the worst.

These are the ones we had down in Alief at the park in front of Hastings and Elsik high school, they were usually tore up from people dunking on em anyway.

If I remember correctly they all mostly are working with single rimmed baskets.

    I found these pics:
