http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/LeBron-says-hes-leaning-toward-signing-with-Cavs-060110 [rquoter]Don’t count out the home team yet. National Basketball League superstar LeBron Jameshas been linked to the New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, Dallas Mavericks and others, but his current team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, have the upper hand. “This city, these fans…have given me a lot in these seven years,” James told CNN’s Larry King in an interview scheduled to air Friday. “I've got a lot of memories here. And - and so it does have an edge. Asked directly if he is leaning toward Cleveland, the 25-year old said “absolutely.”[/rquoter]
Haha! Nice catch! Personally, I'm cheering for the Cavs to get Lebron. I don't want to see a union of superstars unless it involves the Rockets.
Hooray for our 2012 draft pick!!! Now we need Bosh to go to Miami(Houston), and Boozer/Amare/Joe to stay put!
LeBron was just saying what we already figured. Of course Cleveland holds an edge. It's home. Now, the question would be, how BIG of an edge are we talking about? I'm assuming it's quite slight.
lol and silly Walsh, AND the city of NY who feels entitled to everything simply cuz 'its new york'.. idk if theyll ever learn
Mind games. He's just luring teams to up the ante. Anywhere he goes, he will get everything possible contractually, but now waiting for those under-the-table goodies - strippers, jets, hitman for Delonte, etc.
I honestly hope he stays in Cleveland... It helps us with the two draft picks we have from NY, and it gives us a better shot at Bosh...
Not giving Cleveland the "inside edge" would make him appear disrespectful to the city and organization. They drafted him, he's been their guy for all this time and their case and means to retain him are all just, if not more, valid than anybody else's. So really, for him NOT to acknowledge that would make him appear ungrateful and naive. He's just playing his cards right and working the media like anybody in his position with his status should be expected to. That said, I think/hope he's gone. Well, sort of. You have to understand that I'm a Pittsburgher so the idea of the city of Cleveland being good at ANYTHING is quite disturbing to me. If he leaves the 'balance of suck' will be rightfully restored to that city. Although, on the other hand part of me feels bad for Danny Ferry. Talk about a GM that did everything humanly possible to build a contender around him and it still wasn't good enough.
the only way he'll stay in houston is if another superstar goes there. i don't see anyone coming there anytime soon. he's gone.
