I haven't visited that place yet. And will refuse to as long as I can. I already can see they're responsible for this Sleigh Bells phenomena. Its like why are the masses pushing this act? Aha, I'm sensing it could be Pitchfork working as a background process? Visiting the site to see and asking around is just giving them want they want, so screw 'em. Oh, female roommates. Had one, she was alright. She cooked, kept the open areas of the house clean. Her room and personal space was DISASTER. She was into one of my friends. So when their relationship fell apart, she became a b**** and called it all off, forcing me to get another roommate anyway (I went solo though). Thats where I learned that Ladies Night IS FOR LADIES. Don't EVER go with ladies out on a Ladies Night if THEY themselves are your primary source of friendship.
If you are feeling sad or nostalgic about this, you can always listen to Band of Horses. Their debut album "Everything All the Time" released in 2006, received best new music award and a christly 8.8 rating. Their follow up album "Cease to Begin" released the very next year in 2007 received an respectable 7.7. Their newest release which just came out a few days ago received a paltry 5.3. I think Ben Bridwell might show up at their offices in Chicago with a hammer since he is from Seattle originally. Alternatively, you can listen to The Antlers classic album "Hospice" which received an amazing 8.5. It's in your hands now. You control the future.
Here is my analysis of the optimal roommate scenario: http://www.afterthemba.com/after_the_mba/2009/06/the-optimal-housing-scenario.html The optimal scenario is NOT living with all women. Somehow, I ended up living with 3 women and it has been an educational experience. I feel like Jane Goodall living amongst the gorillas and seeing how they behave in the wild. Once you live with women (non-gf or wife), your assumptions about them will change forever.
I lived with 2 girls in college, we had seperate phone lines so their parents would not know. It was great, but I liked living with the fellas better, more freedom to uh...chase others. DD
Oh, yeah. Female roommates are awesome! Cuddling without sex, consoling them when Johnny Motorcycle went up the pooper and never called back, having an excuse to watch Sex in the City and the Academy Awards Red Carpet show to talk about the dresses....
