I voted other. I feel they shouldn't re-sign amare and sign someone else. I have a feeling the Knicks and suns will work a sign and trade with amare and David Lee.

I'm of the opinion that the Heat should sign the best free agents that they can get and then trade Beasley to a team like the Warriors for some role players (CJ Watson, Morrow, Azubuike, Turiaf etc). Nelly would probably be all over a skilled, soft, perimeter big like Beasley. He can play him at center like Harrington.

The Suns are stuck in the middle unfortunately. You put a 28-year-old KG on that squad they can definitely win a championship but with KG & Ducan declining, I honestly don't know if there ever is a big man out there who is good enough to help them overcome the Lakers.

A chance for Dirk to reunite with Nash perhaps?

Amare though, I don't see him coming back. He'll become someone's sidekick or a Knick.

Could you imagine if Lopez developed into a pretty good player offensively, and the Suns got Dirk?

Yea everybody in PHO knows its over ...including Nash and Amare. He is out of there.

Nash and Hill a year older.

Channing Frye standing a the 3point line throwing up jumpers will win you games , but not a championship.

Look at the last 60 championship winners.....did any of them play the suns style of basketball NO....plz dont say the Showtime Lakers they were filled with HOFS. The current Suns have 0 unless you count a token Steve Nash

dirk to phx and pick up a solid forward who can defend n rebound. actually Ariza would fit nicely.

dirk wouldn't help them. just add more of the same perimeter oriented - no defense basketball.

this style of play gets you far but ultimately will lose to a balanced team who can defend, rebound, and score. if they are going to get any better they need to add size up front and amare has to commit to being a rebounder.

Actually I think Dirk would be worse.
Dirk it would seem . .would rather roll to the jumpshot
than to the basket for the dunk

Dirk would only be good on the Suns if Lopez happened to develop into a rebounding and / or offensively talented beast.

Imagine Nash, Dirk, Richardson, and Hill all on the perimeter as Lopez goes to work; either taking it himself, or passing it out.

Scary.

Sure, no defense, but every offensive possession is likely to net you points.

- resign amare
- get a 3pt shooting defensive wing that can guard kobe by himself without help (we have the 2 best in the league in battier & ariza)
- start dragic at 2 guard (give him the right side of the court & nash the left side & let them them pick&roll with amare at the top, put 2 3pt shooters in both corners - how can anyone possibly stop this???)
- most important - get a big that can rebound & block shots & actually play him (can lopez do this?)

actually, put dwight howard on the suns and they would be champs (or put nash on the magic)

The Suns won't win a ring in the Nash era either way. Amare's gone, they need a big man and Jirk aint comin to town. Maybe Bloozer?

They need a change of direction. Keep Nash but listen to offers on everyone else.

Both, repped for common sense.

I really feel sorry for Nash and even Amare as Dantoni filled their heads with false hope that this style could win it all. It can't. It never has. It never will. Now, Nash is too old and set in his ways to focus on defense or play any type of post oriented offense (which is exactly what you need to win a championship).

Nash cried because he knew this was it.

I'm not saying he will do them any favors, but to maximize the money, maybe he gives them a list. Whether it the knicks, heat,or bulls or someone like thats. If he chunks them the middle finger, then they still have about 14m plus the mle to sign players plus last years #14 draft pick in clark.

They should do a sign-n-trade using Stoudemire for another superstar.

Somehow get rid of Hill and Richardson for another all-star.

A'mare will turn 28 this Fall and I would expect him to maximize the money this Summer as you suggested.

Wade turned 28 this past January and might also do the same if he goes to another team rather than play in Miami next season.

Joe Johnson turns 29 in four weeks and might also seek to do as A'mare and Wade.

LeBron and Bosh are younger and perhaps they can take more risk by signing as Free Agents rather than looking for Sign and Trade situations that A'mare, Wade and Joe Johnson would be expected to seek.

There is a monetary loss for A'mare to sign as a Free Agent rather than seek a Sign and Trade.

i would 'blow up' the team. This year was their best chance to go to the finals. They met a injury plagued portland team, then an old spurs team that decided not to show up at all in the second round (or they spend wats left in the tank on dallas). It was an easy trip to the WCF. Next year with OKC, Portland, Denver, Dallas, Lakers and Rox, I would not put my money on the Suns going to the WCF again.

Nash is still a great player, but his age is up there. Right now his trade value is incredibly high, I would trade him. I have never been a fan of amare. With him, its always about the highlight reels.

Offcourse I am not saying the Suns will rebuild, but I feel that right now is probably a good time.

They can offer about $11 million a year, but not a max deal. Phoenix is a nice destination, so they will have a nice option, especially if someone like Dirk has wanderlust.
