Yeah - NEVER to a guy who has gotten past a prime Tim Duncan in the WCF. NEVER to a guy who has been to the NBA finals.

The guy who has had even less playoff success than McGrady is a better option.

Dirk would obviously be the better option.

Bolded portion of your posts are complete bull**** and indicate that you have no idea what you're talking about.

You see how nice it is to make bold proclamations and substantiate them with anything?

Dirk is the softest "superstar" in the league today. T_Man is absolutely right on that. He puts up nice numbers here and there, but when the heat is on(playoffs) he melts down and disappears. We dont need that.

I will not say that Dirk is the softest in the NBA, but he does one helluva disappearing act come playoff and pressure time.

Let's look at the talent Dirk has had around him the last 5 to 7 years and what has he done???? Yes he's been to the playoffs and yes he went to the finals.....

But with the talent that Dallas has had, especially this year; they should be in the conference finals every year....

So call it how you like, but Dirk is not the man... He can shoot, I give him credit for that, but he's not a leader...

I look forward to turning to the Ticket to listen to the shoe after they lose, especially in the playoffs to hear the people Bitch, Moan and Whine about Dirk...

Now T.Mcgrady, you can bold out all you want,,, But Dirk is just as Soft as your Mentor... They are basically the same player... The only difference is one is black and the other white....

    Just stating the facts....

Umm...Dirk is the only one who showed up in the playoffs this year. Terry, Marion, and Kidd were the ones who CHOKED.

You are so stupid, its not even funny anymore.

Dirk is averaging 25/11+ in his playoff career. Just 5 bigmen in league history hit that mark.

He is the only one ALWAYS showing up.

26/9 on 55% against the Spurs this year.

34.4/12.4/4 against the Nuggets in 2009. Yes, that "softie" against Martin and the birdman. Ah btw during this season was all that crap with his con fiancee.

    27/12 on 47% against the Hornets 2008

20/11 against the Warriors (38% because of 2 bad shooting games).

27/12 on 47% in all 23 games of the 2006 post season. Your great Terry with 18/4 assist, but yeah at was all Terry in 2006 leading the Mavs to the finals

And then you throw Jason Terry in. Terry IS one of the main reason why the Mavs sucked since 2007. Supposed to be the 2nd option but just showing his inconsistend ass all the time. Or Josh Howard being injuried all the time...

Dirk is one of the best postseason players, period. Stop your hate. Yes, he missed that stupid FT, but nobody is perfect. He get hacked like crap (go ask Yao how it feels) , plays through injuries and yet such internet posting p*****s like you calling him "the softest ever"....

Didn't have the balls to go for a 3, while being down 3? Seemed like he got lucky that manu had a brain fart.

Because Dirk would fit perfecly in our System with Yao. Bosh would also fit very well but Dirk has more range and a better shooting touch. Only thinking about acquiring Dirk makes me cream my pants

Agreed except i wish the mavs as an organization never win jack crap...Dirk on the other hand is very deserving of a ring as is nash. Hope the two of them team up in houston again alongside Yao and our current roster with a few tweaks here and there.

Dirk's numbers are actually very good in the playoffs (but then again so are Tmac's). Soft? No. Choker? You could argue that from a certain biased perspective but not without support. In those 2006 Finals Dirk who's a career 88% FT shooter (including over 95% this year versus the Suns) missed last minute FTs in TWO separate games that could have put the games into OT. But again, everyone misses sometimes including Kobe who badly missed 2 last minute shots this very postseason (that could have cost LA both series) but was bailed in games by Artest and Gasol. Everyone misses... the only difference is if you win everyone remembers the shots you made and if you lose everyone remembers the shots you missed.

I do agree that Dirk's game is has several structural weaknesses for the NBA playoffs mainly:

    1) he's white
    2) he's German
    3) he plays on the perimeter.

all 3 of those contribute to refs not making calls for you in the playoffs as you saw compared to Wade in 2006. Like Yao he tends to settle for outside shots. But like I said, NBA is all about matchups. There's no team in the league that could match up with Yao inside and Nowitzki outside. All weaknesses aside it's literally like having a 7 foot guy on a 6 foot guy... the matchup problems Adelman could exploit with both Yao and Nowitzki would simply be huge liabilities for any other team.

You know it's little punks like you that have ruined the GARM with your disrespect to other members...

I've said this before and I will say it again... Stats don't mean crap..

Dirk can shoot I have never denied that... So could Reggie Miller, so could T-Mac and so could other players...

But as great as most of you think Dirk is and with all the talent that Cuban has bought...

    1) Tell me why has he been to the finals only once???
    2) How many times has he made it to the WCF???

Dirk is an offensive player only and he only has a jump shot... Well that's great for the regular season but you see how far that's gotten him in the playoffs. Teams will and have shut that crap down..

Dirk is not a defensive player... He will get you 30 and give up 40... That want get it in the playoffs..

See you are like a lot of these guys that complain about outside media writing and talking about the Rockets when they've only seen them play one time.... So like all media they turn to stats without knowing the truth...

Since you guys are so big on numbers.... Here's some for you..

If Dirk is so good why is he steady getting bounced from the 1st round???

Dirk should have at least 3 to 4 rings with the talent he's had, but how many rings does he have???

So if he can't lead Dallas to a champiionship with all the talent he's had in the past then what makes you think he can help lead the Rockets to one??
