    This.

    Knicks can't get 2 superstars.

They need to get 3-4 stars / solid players.

I don't know about that. If Bosh wants NY, and NY obviously wants Bosh, that's all that really needs to happen, right?

I think Bosh will only go to NY if Lebron or Wade go first and I don't believe either of those guys will.

anybody who thinks that James and Wade (two of the best players in the world) wouldn't compliment each other is crazy.

Plus, you want to win a title? How about going after someone who knows what it takes and has DONE it in the past! (Wade)

Lebron is a heck of a talent, but does he have what it takes to lead a team to the promise land? Personally, at this juncture i say no! He flat out quit on his team in a pivotal gm against the Celtics. I don't care about any rumors as to what could have caused him to quit.

Superstars (guys like Jordan, Kobe, Bird, Hakeem, etc) left the personal stuff off the court, and did what they had to do to "lead" their teams to the promise land.

Lebron has shown he isn't capable of doing this at this juncture in his career. They had the best record in the league for the second yr in a row, home court advantage throughout the playoffs, and they couldn't get it done!

I've been watching BB for over 40yrs, and I can't recall watching a leader of his team flat out QUIT on his team in the playoffs like Lebron did! I couldn't believe what I was watching!

I'm sick and tired of hearing all this "King" James BS!!!! "kING" of what? What has he ever won? If I was Lebron, I'd be wanting to pair up with Wade, someone that knows what it takes to get to the top.

NY has terrible players and no assets anymore (because we have them all) They could get Bosh and LBJ and not be that great. The crappy NY roster makes the Cleveland roster look like Team USA.

Danillo Gallinari and Wilson Chandler just aren't that scary.

I guess they do have the lotto pick from last year, oh wait.......

    Lebron/Wade+Bosh/Amare/Dirk

would instantly become competitive in the east. Vet ring chaser role players will sign on for cheap and I'm sure the knicks would love to take on terrible contracts if potential comes with it.

The Knicks also want the time and money Isaiah Thomas wasted, it doesn't mean they are gonna get it.

Really, who really wants to play for the knicks? Liking NY is one thing, but to actually want to take a failing organization and turn it around is another.

Yeah the knicks are horrible but if somehow someway they get lebron who knows what can happen. He was drafted by a horrible cavs team and they missed the playoffs by a game or two. In the east u cam be under .500 and still make the playoffs smh. Anything can happen. Once July 1st comes then we will see.

Is it just me, or is this like the third or fourth "report" from ESPN that basically publicizes New York's recruiting pitch to the major free agents?

Frankly, I think that's a load of BS, and ESPN shouldn't be reporting this stuff unless they want to give equal room for pitches from every other team in the league.

I'd like to see Houston's pitch to Bosh plastered all over ESPN.

    East Coast media bias.

(Actually, I don't really give a crap. But it is mildly annoying.)

One sneaky factor is the importance of the NY franchise to the ongoing success of the league. I'm sure there's a whispering campaign out there-- even though it is pretty plainly obvious.

MSG is the Mecca of basketball courts in the US.

For LBJ to go to NY is like going to Cleveland about 5 years ago when they weren't very competitive. Does he really want to do that?

Who are the league role=players that LBJ admires?

If BOsh and Lebron go to the Knicks that will at worst be in the Eastern Conference Finals for the next 6 years

AT WORST??? Have you not been paying attention to the "rest" of the Knicks' roster???

The Knicks would have a team next year of Lebron, Bosh, Wilson Chandler, Danilo Gallinari, Eddy Curry, Toney Douglas and minimum scrubs.

In 2011-12, they will have a bit of cap room to add one or two other non-scrubs. Then, they're done adding, barring some unforseen INCREASE of the salary cap (in fact, the overwhelming likelihood is that there will be a decreased salary cap with less ability to exceed it--as the Knicks have done in the past).

Basically, a Lebron/Bosh combo will take the Knicks to a first round exit in the Eastern Conference playoffs. Possibly a second round exit, if Lebron is simply unstoppable and everything else goes right for New York in the first round. That's about it.

Isn't that what they said about the Orlando Magic, when Grant Hill and T-Mac was signed? They had no depth, and an injury to one of their max free agents made them a playoff joke.

They have the mid level exception to use...plus the veteran exception. People will want to play with Lebron and Bosh

    you're wrong here Bima

Remember how Tracy McGrady said he would take a paycut to play with ELITE stars like Bosh and Lebron???

    TRACY MCGRADY!

    ;)

no the knicks will still suck unless bosh, lebron and wade all agree to like MLE type deals doubt it happens.

There will be some colluding though

Bosh and Wade are represented by the same agent and all 3 are represented by the same agency
