A friend of mine who sits close to the floor for Comets and Rockets games said she saw Eddie Griffin, Cuttino Mobley and some other Rocket players at the Comets game last night. She said they were REALLY into the game. They were cheering, shouting, yelling at the referees and generally acting like regular fans.

    Very cool. :)

hmm, i'm a little dissapointed in steve. you'd think as the leader of the rocket's clique he'd be there. kind of selfish, imo. don't be surprised if cat demands a trade later this week. ;)

Isn't Steve going to school this summer to finish up his Degree. Maybe some people have other things they have to do.

Steve already went back to school and got his degree at least a year ago.

Probably should have got more press than it did, because how many NBA guys can you name who did that?

(As opposed to how many NBA guys you can name who have shot, raped, beaten or otherwise criminalified themselves in front of the world)

    Ciao

    criminalified? ack

freakin eh....just because the leader of the posse was not in the house, people want to judge...

imagine if we were held to the same standards....I know these guys are millionaires, but that does not give us the right to be critical of every breath they take.

-maybe Steve cannot stand the Comets of b-ball. some do, some don't
-maybe Steve had a hot date
-maybe Steve was working for habitat for humanity building houses
-maybe Steve was in SF scouting Yao Ming and having viddles with him
-maybe Steve was on the can all night with stomach issues
-maybe Steve was playing XBox with Nick Van Exel all night at Royal Oaks

either way, just because Mobes and Mooch hang with the Comets does not mean Stevie wants to or has the organizational responsibility to

Let's keep it real and positive and not critical at every non-basketball moment. you can be critical of his game and when he slips up, but refrain from judging over things you do not know.

lets say steve didnt go the the game.

maybe he was in the weight room rehabibng and getting stronger for next season.

or maybe he was just tired from playing in pick-up games at westside trying to improve his game for next season.

if you ask me, it should be those who skipped that to go to the game that are selfish.

going to the game or not is not a "good or bad" issue. there's so many people in here that are so judgemental about those types of things. It's pretty cool that some of the rockets are supporting the Comets...but if some players don't go to the game, so what? it doesn't matter.

Hahaha, I feel sorry for you BigM. You know it's the offseason when people don't realize that post was a joke.

Anyway, I'm really happy to see that Mobley and Griff are supporting the women's game. Living in Sacramento (and being a season-ticket holder, since I can't afford Kings games), I can tell you that Bobby Jackson and Gerald Wallace frequently attend games as well. Hopefully this becomes a trend.:)

If Francis was at the Comet game or not should not be a big deal. I am sure if he was not, then it was because he was still doing research to see if the Rockets were serious about getting better so he could see if he wants to sign, or move on to a team where he can get respect and win.
