I agree with all you said. On top of that, he caught an over the hill Lidell. Not one of his wins impresses me and some of them actually hurt his case. This is going to be fun. For those thinking that Rashad can win the match through wrestling, lets not forget that Rampage held his own against Dan Henderson, wrestling wise.
Its going to be Machida all over again with Shad looking like the exorcist with his eyes rolled back in his head. I think Rampage is motivated and thats a very bad thing for the rest of the division.
I forgot to mention the Liddell fight. The guy just hasn't beaten anyone good. His most impressive opponent is probably Forest Griffin who is basically a walking punching bag who just out-hearts guys every now and again.
Wow, very suprised to see no Evans love in here. I think Evans will win by decision! I'd love to gamble on this fight!
Good luck with that. I'm not saying its impossible, just highly unlikely. Dude is not that good. The only way he'd change my mind would be if he just flat out dominated Rampage in more than one area. This means not just one lucky hit. Keep in mind, I originally thought he could be good. After watching him through at least five fights, I have sold my stock. My only worry is that Rampage hasn't fought in quite a while. With his age and motivation though, I don't think it will be a huge impact. Dave_78 - You're right about Griffin. I like the guy and his heart, but he's not in the top-tier talent wise in the LHW division. Those of you sure on Rashad, I'd be up for a signature bet if it sounds good.
I am a big Rampage fan. I just think he has lost a step and the lay off is going to hurt him. I think Rashad is faster and is getting better. I will be rooting for Rampage but I know Rashad will win. I will make that bet with you. what does it consist of?
I wonder how much the layoff will hurt, but think he'll be good. As for the bet, it doesn't matter. I've not done one of those yet. Maybe something like the loser praising the winner in their sig until the next UFC PPV. Written by the winner of course. Any other suggestions anyone?
I pretty much quit going to bars years ago...might have to leave the wife and kids at home and go out for this one, though.
Rashad is going to take Rampage down... Rashad is too quick for Rampage. By the looks of the prime time show they've been doing, Rampage is preparing for a stand-up fight, while Rashad has been working on his take downs and wrestling. I think Rashad is going to go the same route he did is his last fight, stand and trade just enough, and then take him down and out wrestle him. Rashad via Decision...
