Really cool video. I liked the story about St. Johns. I can't believe I have never heard that before. Think of how much would be different if he would have never made that trip down to Houston.
Man, Letterman used to be ok back in the days but now I can't stand the douche Thanks Tinman for the video, this is what it's all about: our Rocket history, Dream was super charming and gotta love those Taco Bell commercials with Shaq a couple years later. I would like another championship so I can drive down to Richmond and Westpark and celebrate like I did back in 94 & 95.
Nonsense is telling your team you are 100% after micro fracture surgery when you can't even play a full game with the knicks. This is not nonsense, this is the Dream. This is Clutch City. We are Clutchfans. http://www.nba.com/playerfile/hakeem_olajuwon/bio.html In 1993-94 Olajuwon attained the pinnacle of achievement when he won both the league and NBA Finals MVP Awards while leading Houston to its first-ever NBA crown. The Rockets entered the 1994-95 postseason seeded sixth, but Olajuwon averaged 33.0 points on .531 shooting from the field in the playoffs to help Houston capture its second consecutive NBA championship. His transcendent performance throughout the postseason earned him mention among the greatest winners in recent history--players such as Michael Jordan, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird, and Isiah Thomas.
People. this is a Rockets forum and Hakeem is the most important and most valuable Rocket of all time! W/O him, the Rockets would be nothing and probably would not be in Houston today! As a fellow muslim, I look up to Hakeem and think of him as a role model! LONG LIVE HAKEEM! I always hoped Hakeem would lead us to a 3rd ring but unfortunately his age caught up to him and it didn't help that Pippin Quittin on his team! Hakeem would still probably average 10/10 against these sorry ass centers of today's NBA!
great find man, I didnt kno the Dream wasw on Letterman IN NEW YORK during the Finals after we jus beat them lmao thats why hes the Dream I was a bit aggravated at Davids intro of Hakeem when he said we were 'temporarily ahead 2-1' altho he was right as we fell down 2-3, that was a cocky thing to input also I had no idea that he intended on going to St. Johns thank GOD it was cold  and the rest was history
