If you guys had to choice back then

    TMAC or BOSH

    Everybody here would said TMAC

and both players are SOFT and WEAK!

Some people here act like Bosh had proven or done anything in this league

like we are getting a WADE type of player or something....

TMAC > BOSH but both = SOFTNESS

Oh, and 1984 Ralph Sampson > Yao Ming, so we should just go get him again too, huh?

when Bosh was in his second year? GTFO with your outlandish analogies

Bosh in his prime may not be t-mac in his but at least he's on the floor.

A 42-40 team that was strapped down to a 30 million dollar active payroll most of the year. The team at the end of the year, once they recovered from teh inuries to Lowry and Ariza, was a solid team that could have contended for a playoff spot if given a full year.

Adding Yao elevates our defense significantly as we won't be allowing a layup drill for the other teams wings anymore. He takes pressure off Scola in the post, and creates an inticing inside-out game for Brooks, Martin and Ariza to take advantage of.

Yao expires next year. See if he can come back and is worth a decent contract (no more than 10 mil under any circumstance) and use those picks and expirings to tinker with the team or make a big move at the deadline. Maybe use Brooks and Hill as the leverage to squeeze big Al and Rubio from Minny. Who knows. We got options.

Saying we have to make a big move is a bit premature. I think we tinker with it up until the deadline, then make any necessary move to cover over weaknesses. Unless of course we can get Bosh for pennies, in which case, DO IT!

    Bosh who?

I've no impression whatsoever about him.

So NO, you are not the only one who's not excited about him.

I further speculate, no, *declare* that Bosh is a 2nd rate T-Mac but with the same price tag and fan expectation. He will disappoint desperate Rockets fans just like TMac did.

Bosh, I would love to have this guy but if we don't get him, he'll be another guy we spent hours arguing about. Either way Morey will end up showing up and doing something this offseason major or minor.

This offseason I just hope that Trevor works on his shot.

I tend to agree...Bosh is not worth a Max contract...what has he done? All he's done was in Canada no less...

I agree I'd rather have a superstar wing player instead of a big man. Martin is not elite but is a good piece next to a superstar.

I do not like/want Bosh because he is not humble. He is nothing like what Morey et al usually choses for the team. Woman's intuition - due to his ego/personality he will not come here.

With Martin the Rockets went .500, most of which Lowry and Ariza played. Yeah, Battier was banged up too, but the point is that we were around .500 before the trade, and .500 afterwards. Adding Kevin Martin did nothing for our W-L.

SamFisher was talking about Yao's impact in 2013. He probably won't be as good as he was in 2009. And talking about Yao's impact on this team is very premature, as he hasn't even fully recovered from his surgery yet.

We have Scola, there's no need for Bosh. Just get Yao back healthy!

You don't think incorporating Martin, Jeffries, and the revolving door of Conroy, Temple, and Taylor had something to do with our consistency? Those guys were just winging it out there. You give them a full training camp and thats a 46-48 win team.

Oh, well tehn i misunderstood. And I'm not talking about his impact. I'm saying that being patient and seeing what we do have in Yao might not be a bad idea.

I'm not against a Bosh trade (quite the contrary actually) but I can understand the argument for just standing pat and making small adjustments until it becomes apparent that we won't get anything from Yao.
