I know everyone is talking about where LeBron plans on going this offseason as it should and has been discussed for the past 2+ years.

But has anyone asked where Shaq was going? I think not.

I know he is not the HOF player he used to be with the Lakers and Heat but this guy has ran thru 2 cities already, promising rings while delivering nothing but disappointment. And obviously he still thinks he is the dominant Shaq of old in the early 2000's who can "impose his will" on a team.

So who's it gonna be, is he gonna go with the Bosh plan of 'follow the "King" of the court'? Or will he try to re-unite with his favorite super hero down under "Flash"?

Can you imagine Shaq in a Knicks jersey? Eddy Curry v5.5

    BLAH!

He's done... He's accomplished what he wanted in the league... But wherever he ends up, it will not be for $20 mil.

He might give it one more run:

    1. Chicago
2a-2b. New York or New Jersey
    3. Atlanta
    4. Washington
    5. Houston (for the right price)
    6. San Antonio

    How about back in LA?

If you think about it, the biggest issue (besides an inconsistent bench) is that Bynum is in and out of the lineup and has his own effectiveness problems. What better way to cap a career than to end up back where you had your most success to make one REALISTIC run for the title? The story line would be awesome.

I would do it if I were him.

I think he's done. He knows that he's not the player that he used to be and I think that he's not quite the person to have so much pride that he would leave $20 million on the table, but I think that he is the kind of person that would leave a vet minimum on the table, which is about what he's worth as a basketball player these days. He doesn't need to chase rings because he has four, three of which featured him as the Finals mvp. It's been a good run but it seems about over at this point.

He's gonna ethier go somewhere that needs a starting center(possibly Atlanta so they can move horford to the four, Smith to the 3, and Williams to the bench or to the 2 to replace JJ) or he'll retire, I don't see him playing as a backup. I thought he would retire this year definitely, but since the Cavs didn't get the ring this year, I think he'll stick around another season

It's gonna be weird if he does leave, he's been in the league since I was born, not having shaq in the league just doesn't seem right

I have never been a big Shaq fan. I thinl mostly cuz I am a Dream fanatic and Shaq was supposed to be the young, up-(nd-coming threat to Dream's greatness. But he seemed nice enough when I lived in Miami and met him a few times (althoguh I wouldn't introduce him to my wife or mother).
I think he can still contribute. He had some good numbers in Phoenix, and he wasn't the only frontcourt player to disappear once on the Cavs (cf Jamison)

He's sunken really low if he'll agree to play for a non-contender just to stay in the league. Unfortunately for him, I don't think any contenders are interested in acquiring his services.

I think he'd get the MLE max at this point of his career, and it would be hard for him to get more than 2 years. For a long time I thought he was in denial about this skill set declining, but this year he at least admitted that he was a role player. Granted he called himself the most dominant role player, but there is at least recognition that he is not the top dog.

I'm sure he'd love to go to a contender and help put them over the top, and he could be an asset for a team in need of a big man. That, however, is ignoring the fact that he's a locker room nightmare from everything I have read. Teams like Boston, Houston, and San Antonio are not going to deal with that kind of a headache. I just don't see Orlando, LA, and Phoenix giving him another shot.

Maybe Dallas is an option or the Comrade might ink him for the hell of it in New Jersey.

The one thing I'm unclear of is how LeBron feels about him. If James wants to play with Shaq again, I could see him following James to New York, Chicago, or staying put in Cleveland.
