Honestly, beside Boozer and Johnson, i think all could go for a max contract because theres so many teams and so many other good players to pick from. This year, any team that thinks NOW is the time to win, their GM's are gonna wanna spend money. Its going to be like ebay, whos the highest bidder!!
well hell if wade is not worth a max at his age then either is dirk, he's older by atleast 4 or 5 yrs!
I only think LeBron and D-Wade are worth max contracts. With that said I will pretty much guarantee you that with the money that some teams have available and the number of free agents out there this year the two or three of the other guys will get max contracts as well.
If you are not the best player on your current team, then you do not deserve a max deal. LeBron, D-Wade, Bosh and Dirk on the only players that should get max deals. Just remember the Chicago Bulls after the Jordan Era and they had that cap room and ended up with Ron Mercer.
Wade and Dirk don't play the same kind of game. Wade relies on athleticism and takes a lot of abuse. Dirk relies on his midrange game.
Lebron, Wade and Dirk are the only ones truly worth the max. Bosh and Amare will probably get it too but they are not fully worth it. JJ and Boozer shouldn't get it imo.
Wade is a Superstar. Some players have so much talent, that money and contracts are no issue. You just WANT them on your team. Besides... teams like the Knicks are going to throw max contracts at any player that can even be loosely described as franchise players.
