Congratulations, Ming! Way to go big guy! Heaven bless you and your family!!! Welcome to the world, little one!
His child was born here. How can the USA say that child is not a citizen just because the parents say that they don't want it?
If you are talking about Yao's daughter, no she can't. She won't be given a Chinese passport if she has a U.S. passport, unless China is ready to open the flood gate.
Get US citizenship, travel on a chinese passport. China has no way of knowing unless they're informed by Yao or his wife.
The US may not deny citizenship, but because Yao and his wife are Chinese Nationals, the child is applicable for dual citizenship.
You mean for the child of possibly the most famous man in China? I'd be willing to bet they'd find out fairly easily.
Well I suppose it's possible that some Chinese don't know Yao, but ... when you enter China as a Chinese citizen, records on your Chinese passport for entering/leaving the U.S. will be inspected. Even though the U.S. recognizes dual citizenship, I can't imagine U.S., or any other country, would issue visas to its own (natural born) citizens and let them maintain their alien status. So you'll be caught either by U.S. or China for the "duplicity."
