It's not SExIST, Pizza. You just don't like it or never got into it, and the skill level is not on par with the men's skill level and I don't know that it will ever be the same. They do add some excitement with plays, headers, hustling for the ball, etc., but I can agree that it's just not the same. It's like WNBA vs. NBA. It's fair.

They're FITTER than most of us...
Soccer WOMEN would run circles with the soccer ball around FOOTBALL players. But FOOTBALL players would get scored ON easily by soccer WOMEN. Oh, yeah, and that's WITHOUT pads.

This guy is clueless. I suggest you go to a park with REAL soccer goals, and join a game. The endurance required to play this game at a high level is quite exceptional.

I take my daughters to watch women's soccer matches. I enjoy it. I enjoy coaching their teams as well, which is funny because I had never played much soccer in my life. I grew up in H-town and it was pretty much baseball, football & basketball for me.

After 5 years of coaching youth soccer, I finally decided to start playing and am now in a couple different leagues. I love it and am learning more about the game every week. I played Running Back in football and playing striker I kind of feel like I'm doing the same thing mixed with some point guard skills I acquired on the b-ball court. I even catch the ball with my feet like I used to flash the leather on the diamond. Soccer is cool. I'm def excited for the World Cup.

I watch any particular sports for two reasons.

    1. It's the highest level of competition for that particular sports. i.e. NBA/NFL/Olympics/Majors in tennis
    2. I have rooting interest. i.e. watching my little sister play at school or rooting for underdogs in the NCAA tournament.

If a sport doesn't meet one of those two criterias, I won't watch. And unfortunately, women competition just isn't the best in the world in general. Although to a certain extent I'll watch women competition in the Olympics just because it's the Olympics. But otherwise, pointless.

In Mexico the best sports figure lately are women, (especially in individual sports) like:

    Golf (Lorena Ochoa)
Diving (Paola Espinosa, she is the current world champion)
Tae Kwon Do (Iridia Salazar, Ma. del Rosario Espinosa - gold medalist in the Olympics)
and a few more, so that doesnt mean that the women are not as talented as the men, well at least in some competitons.

But I agree that in basketball and soccer, the men's league is a lot better to watch.
