So today, for Sunday meal my wife suggested we get a pineapple for dessert.

I probably have not had one in 10 years, so I was like...sure.....

OMG, what a flavor explosion, I had completely forgotten how good these things were.

    Dinner tonight was:

Ribeye steak grilled to perfection with DD's special marinade
Salad, with raddishes and cherry tomatoes

    followed by:

    Fresh pineapple

What are some of the foods you guys have tried or forgotten about?

    DD

My fav food overall = pineapple.

Now with that said...I haven't had beef in almost a decade...chicken, turkey and fish, though? I'll kill. (no, PETA, you can't kick my ass...so ha)

    I love pinepapples.

Other good fruit ideas I've tried: frozen banana slices and apple slices sprinkled with cinammon.

I was invited to be a guest speaker to some Cal undergraduates @ UC Berkeley like two months ago and afterward, the other panelists and I went to a Brazilian restaurant. On the suggestion of the event planner, I tried a Tri Tip sandwich w/ pineapples. Greatness! I usually like pineapple by itself and that was the first time I tried it on my food, wow!

If you are a history buff, you should read up on pineapples. Lots of interesting stories about that particular fruit.

As for foods, my answer would be Cajun. If it's properly prepared, with the right ingredients, nothing can touch a good Cajun meal.

Or a good Reuben sandwich. My God, are they awesome.

Sadly, I just don't find myself at a good Cajun restaurant or a good deli more than once every couple of years. I really need to work on that.

For the record, I did Grill the pineapples, just about 2 minutes on each side after sitting in some brown sugar...

    GREATNESS !!!

But still, I am thinking......raspberries now.....I loved em as a kid and have not had them in years.
