Trailer looking pretty interesting. I'm all for another apocalypse film. The last good apocalypse type movie was The Mist and I totally loved it. The Divide
The disappointing about this so far is that it's being directed by Xavier Gens. But any post-apocalyptic movies is a welcome in my book.
I don't know. I have a suspicion that it's going to be a psychological thing like The Killing Room, and that the end of the world is a big fake-out to the people. The Mist was awesome. One of my favorite movies. I liked 2012 a lot. Yeah, it was cheese, but it was fun.
Here’s the official synopsis: <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/LJCxT2d5hzk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/LJCxT2d5hzk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Is that the same horn sound from the Inception trailers? Either way, the horn really seems to do wonders for trailers these days
It all started with the Dark Knight. People latch onto whatever elephant made the most money and hack the idea to death (horn music in trailer) until the next creative thing comes (i.e. Avatar and the rise of 3D movies).
You're right, it's from Inception. Yeah one of my favorite scene is this one. Totally blew my mind. Don't watch the clip folks if you haven't seen The Mist yet. Spoiler I wished that the movie ended where the earth is slowly taken over by the alienated creatures from that other dimension and the fate of humanity is left with a cliff hanger. Too bad they ended the other way. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iTIQH48ynmA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iTIQH48ynmA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Spoiler I think that is the whole point of the movie though....the paranoia and the fear making us our own worst enemies....to the point of destroying ourselves. when it ended...as soon as it ended...my wife said, "yeah, that's stephen king!"
