Wow there are a lot of variations. Wish I did some of these as a kid.

 

I'd physically abuse anyone, kid or not, who would pull a stunt like that on my doorstep. It's pretty stupid, actually happened before at one of my friends' place. We lit the teens shirt on fire with a firework. He never came back.

 

Assault is always a responsible reaction.

 

It actually is... it teaches the little brats a lesson. I don't take getting pranked on my doorstep lightly... it's pretty annoying.

well.... that is why they do it, to annoy people.

I used to do it all the time as a kid... me and my friends would eventually get tired of running away and not seeing the reactions so instead we would ring the door bell and either hide in bushes in the same yard or the yard across the street and watch the people get pissed. Then, if they happened to see us, we would run like hell. It was awesome.

However, if it constantly happened to me, I would probably get real annoyed like some of the people we consistently did it to.

yeah i thought it was called "****** knocking". chase em down the street and kick their asses. some dad did that to me and my friends when we were in the 5th grade. we never went ****** knocking again.

When I was a kid, me and this little ****head buddy of mine went and did this one night. We got caught, the cops were called, and they called my dad - who came and got me and drove me out to the end of some dark road to beat my ass and throw me out of the car miles from my house.
