He is still an undersized PF, who can't compete with the 6'10" guys.

Rumor has it that those legitimate 6'10" guys are also wearing shoes in the NBA.

Jordan Hill was a #8 pick last year for good reason. If he's working hard this summer, he makes our need to draft a big much less urgent.

I don't see any rookie in this draft, except Wall that is going to help us win a championship now or within 3 years. We need a big man who wants to improve and will work on his game. We don't need anyone else at the 1, 2, or 3 unless we are planning to let Shane, Kyle, or Scola walk.

I don't understand why the Rockets will not develop Jordan Hill (he needs to cut those dreads to add 2 more inches of hops to his game), Budinger, and Taylor.

I would love to see us trade Kmart for Joe Johnson, we would be a better defender at the 2 spot plus scoring ability. Please ignore the the playoffs, definitely not representative of his game.

I agree. I don't see a rookie big man making much difference for us. I think DM wants to get the best possible player and trade him (ala Donte Green) for someone that he THINKS will help now.

Sports Radio this morning was saying that we could be trying to get Ricky Rubio and Al Jefferson from the Timberwolves. They only speculated what we would have to give up. Of course, the #14 pick but also, some of the Knicks picks and possibly Brooks.

Don't know how badly we would actually want Jefferson---maybe yes, maybe no. Last year I wondered if he would be a good trade chip for Bosh. He's more of a center than Bargnani. Bargnani-Bosh-Turkoglu kinda-sorta have one another's skillsets.

Yao + Al Jefferson would be one ploddingly-slow combo. Traffic cones for opposing guards.

    Very tall traffic cones.

Just like Yao and Cato when the rockets had a shutdown defense. If the rockets can keep Scola, will see alot of Jefferson and Scola on the frontline probably more than Yao playing with either. Personally I would prefer Jefferson over Bosh if playing alongside Yao, Jefferson is much more of a physical type player.

Please no. Al Jefferson is a ballstopper like McGrady. He will not work with Yao or the Rocket's team offense.

YAO + AL JEFFERSON = VERY SLOW & VERY INJURED= PASS

By the way who the hell knows what Rubio would be in the NBA.
How would he match against the NBA's best points?
Brooks is coming along fine and I would not want to suffer through another couple of years of growing pains.
Besides what about our "dream Deal" for Bosh?

I agree, and besides that, he has the versatility to shift to SF position.
Really hope he continues to make strides...

I don't want Rubio, I'm tired of seeing the foriegn players with great offensive skills and no D. Rajon Rondo is leading the Celtics on the defensive and offensive end. We need a guard who can play D on the tough PG's in the WC. Rubio is not the answer, set's us back 5 years at least.

wow...you really don't have a clue about rubio's game do you? his defense is top notch. if we get rubio then we are getting a top level defender along with a top notch passer. his long range shooting is the only thing i worry about.

The rockets may make a great deal out of this for the sure fact that how does Minny fit Cousins, Love and Al Jefferson. Sell high and buy low.
