This guy has been playing out of his mind in the playoffs the last two years. My question is if he went to a team without 3 hall of famers and the team only had a secondary star and solid role players. Would Rajon Rondo have what it takes to become a franchise player.

    Probably.

Think Jason Kidd on the Nets with Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson. Those two other guys aren't exactly stars.

Rondo has all the skills needed to be the best PG in the game, tbh. It's only his outside shot that is spotty.

And you should probably include a poll with this thread.

This guy is definitely on fire. He always has been a very good all around player. Don't talk about the Celtic's "big three". Without Rondo, they can't win.

Btw, I doubt that all of the "big three" will become hall of famers.

The only person out of the big 3 that might not be a HOF is Ray Allen.

But I think if Ray wins another ring, or if he at least gets the Finals, he will get in.

He's not a franchise player yet but he's well on his way.

Specifically to all the people here who ridiculed Rondo so badly a couple of years ago: Do you feel stupid now? If you were starting a team, would you still choose AB over him?

Rondo has impeccable timing when it comes to his assists.

I'd say he is almost on the level of, if not already there, Steve Nash, and the way Nash controls his team.

Is this seriously a question? The dude has improved every single year he's been in the league. He was a couple TENTHS away in rebounds and assists from AVERAGING a triple double in last years playoffs. Not over the course of a series but over the course of 14 games. He's torn it up all year this year and he's on fire again this playoffs. He's right up there after D.Will and CP3.

The media keeps mentioning the "big 3" but they wouldn't be **** without Rondo. On the other hand Rondo would probably put up even better scoring numbers without Allen/Pierce and better rebound numbers without all of Boston's big guys KG, Perk, Davis, Sheed etc.

The Celtics, comprised of just Rajon Rondo and Brian Scalabrine, win the chip.

    Git 'er dun, Ainge!

As much as I hate the guy, he's simply a best in all aspects of the game(which I hate admitting).

He gets the job done, every team should hope and wish that their PG can contribute the way Rondo has

IMO, he is. other than his perimeter shooting, he does everything very well. great D, a great floor general. someone will pay a lot for his services.
